Been watching your videos for good while, excellent introduction and guide to this great franchise. My first contact with franchise came from hearing of Bloodlines video game(which i never had an opportunity to play sadly), but with Bloodlines 2 in the way, i wanted to learn about the lore in general, but as i have now spent last couple of months watching/rewatching your videos on various vampire clans and groups, i have also becoming interested in Old World of Darkness as a whole.

Unless you also employ the "interim dictator". This Macchiavellian concept a tyrannical proxy implemented to cruelly destroy opposition and oppress the Kindred for a while. Then you can claim to be horrified by the deputy's actions in your absence. You then execute him for his misdeeds. This sends several messages: You are just, compassionate, yet merciless where necessary. You can do the same by allowing an enemy to take the dictator's postition for a while, and then reestablish yourself as the preferable alternative.
Another method would be the Stalin strategy: If anyone rebels or does not show complete loyalty, you do not necessarily that person, but their relatives, friends, and/or neighbors for not having intervened. This way everyone will be wary of rebels in their midst and everyone even thinking about public dissent, wouldn't know where revenge is handed out. Although I believe that arbitrariness never work out long-term personally.

Quick question regarding one of my own campaigns that I'm running, my players just invaded a Second Inquisition base instead of reporting it, all in order to save a npc friend (a captured ventrue), they killed some FBI agents inside, gholified the head agent in charge of the blacksite, released a Lasombra that murdered those that came to reinforce the place (in a brutal sabbat masquerade breaking way), and then firebombed the place hoping to hide the evidence. The whole thing occured without the permission of their elders or the Prince of New York (or better to say the primogen ruling council). Should they be punished severely for the massive breach (though they did cover their tracks so not to lead directly back to them), should they get a warning, also how should the second Inquisition react (more troops sent in, scouters to find out what has happened, martial law)? Advice would be most welcome cause I had plans to keep the 2nd Inq facility around for a couple of more campaigns, but things took a sharp turn.
I would have, probably, taken the ghoul from them, then gave them some kind of punishment for breaking the masquerade (severity depending on how good the coverup was), and then, maybe, if they covered up their tracks good enough, maybe even a little reward, like granting them domain over the place where the base was. Partly because the inquisition will respond, and it is better to sacrifice young ones.
As for the inquisition reaction, I would have sent there quite a few semi-independent scouting groups, but they should be strong enough to take on lesser vampires by themselves. But no big base, instead of it use a lot of little ones.

But gradually, bleed it into the campaign. I'd also introduce a very likable friendly kindred N.P.C. who would experience a violating fate worse than death, that the coterie would be forced to mercy kill. Giving the theme of a rash solution - that only aggrovates the problem in the longterm. I'd also have the primogen council send them on more and more dangerous missions against the inquisition - in orcordance with the aggression they show towards it. Essentially hedging their bets either way(maximum damage and minimum personal risk) both punishing and rewarding every rule ever so gainfully pragmatically broken. The jyhad is jyhad after all.
Have you considered writing some of these ‘Gentlemen’s guide to Vampires’ up in a slightly expanded form for the Storytellers Vault like Rose Bailey did for her VtR guides, or is this something you’re not allowed to do well working for Onyx Path?

Domain is more of a Camarilla therm though? Anarchs its a Barony and Cam vs Anarch definitely run things differently. A Baron is more of a arbitraitor while a Prince is the ultimate authority in their Domain.

Gentleman, your words are well met. I find respectful disagreement, however, with two aspects. Two, actually, that are rolled into one. Never cut off a finger hoping more will grow. Alliances with House Carna and The Ministry were hard fought. Bloodying them for political purposes serves no cause but instability. They owe a debt. That debt has value. Never discard value. Building over destroying is wise council. Negative energies should be directed, I think, at setting rivals against each other. Furthermore, actions should be taken to infiltrate the Inquisition even more, and rot that organization from within. I would even suggest a risky power play by encouraging Gangrel allies within the organization to reach out to known Bone Gnawer Garou within the region. Perhaps set those pieces against specific targets with whom you share grievances. Baron Temple, we can agree, prefers newer outlooks and methods to gaining and maintaining power. We agree that he must be willing to get his hands dirty. There has been, in the opinions of some, too much effort placed in avoiding this avenue. Therefore your words regarding ruthlessness are well met. Tyrants are hated, but no ruler gains respect without the sword. Cults are a dangerous thing. Cults are like unto an infection. Uncontrolled they take on a life of their own, often killing the host. The generate mutations within their range, spawning other factions that may well turn in the original. Simply research Christianity if you want further proof. Instead, I suggest “an ideal”. A goal. Something that exists beyond faith. Brujah talk of a New Carthage, for example. Democracies tout their Constitutions. These are ideals that different outlooks can find hope or cause within. Direct your peoples in these ways, and they’ll invent their own reasons for partaking. They will generate belief without adherence to a cult, reducing your need for control. All you need to do is reinforce “the dream”. Remind them. Show them. Domain is more of a Camarilla therm though? Anarchs its a Barony and Cam vs Anarch definitely run things differently. A Baron is more of a arbitraitor while a Prince is the ultimate authority in their Domain.
Victor Temple is very much hanging in the middle between Anarch and Camarilla.

I find respectful disagreement, however, with two aspects. Two, actually, that are rolled into one.
Never cut off a finger hoping more will grow. Alliances with House Carna and The Ministry were hard fought. Bloodying them for political purposes serves no cause but instability.
They owe a debt. That debt has value. Never discard value.
Building over destroying is wise council. Negative energies should be directed, I think, at setting rivals against each other. Furthermore, actions should be taken to infiltrate the Inquisition even more, and rot that organization from within.
I would even suggest a risky power play by encouraging Gangrel allies within the organization to reach out to known Bone Gnawer Garou within the region. Perhaps set those pieces against specific targets with whom you share grievances.
Baron Temple, we can agree, prefers newer outlooks and methods to gaining and maintaining power. We agree that he must be willing to get his hands dirty. There has been, in the opinions of some, too much effort placed in avoiding this avenue.
Therefore your words regarding ruthlessness are well met. Tyrants are hated, but no ruler gains respect without the sword.
Cults are a dangerous thing. Cults are like unto an infection. Uncontrolled they take on a life of their own, often killing the host. The generate mutations within their range, spawning other factions that may well turn in the original. Simply research Christianity if you want further proof.
Instead, I suggest “an ideal”. A goal. Something that exists beyond faith. Brujah talk of a New Carthage, for example. Democracies tout their Constitutions. These are ideals that different outlooks can find hope or cause within. Direct your peoples in these ways, and they’ll invent their own reasons for partaking. They will generate belief without adherence to a cult, reducing your need for control. All you need to do is reinforce “the dream”. Remind them. Show them. And they will not only follow but act with agency.
