The Platts and the Websters seemed to grow apart as the years went by.
Gail and Sally still interact now, but I don't think they're as pally as they used to be. When Martin returned briefly, he and Kevin didn't interact and they were best mates. And David has the odd scene with Rosie and Sophie, but nothing comes off it.
