      @UCldVajLFprIwFgXFEB-WOpA Wow, " Please don't leave your condom in the bath tube drain". Yep, that sums it up in one sentence. Glad you still got the good years of Daytona like I did.

      Dub Campbell Yeah I loved Daytona as a kid. I was lucky enough to see a race there with my dad. 1999 race we went which lead to my love of racing. And a Great finish between Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhart at the end of the race.

    Can’t believe Micah has never been to Daytona Beach before. I am just someone who travels all over the state for day trips. Gotta love the Joe’s Crab Shack pier. Makes for some pretty views of the beach and ocean waves. Never heard about those dogs before. You had me a little teary eyed when you were showing the memorial and the gravesites for those doggies.

  • @bg147

    That roller coaster was the first one I was ever on when it was based at Adventureland in Chicago many decades ago. I made some inquiries about it over the last decade and found it for sale on eBay and the seller ended up calling me, trying to sell it to me. I declined. It was purchased by someone and erected in Daytona Beach. Several years back, I was driving through Daytona to reminisce about my college Spring trip (Thunderbird Motel) days and forgot this was the coaster. That was my chance to ride it. More recently, the old ride was not maintained properly, there was an accident, and it will more than likely be scrapped. It was a great ride. The motel had been recently scrapped as well. I am old.

    The ferris wheel, roller coaster, and go kart track were actually added only a few years ago. I may be wrong, but I think it was around 2011 or 2012. They're not that old and I'm surprised they closed down. I think there was an incident on the roller coaster as I remember seeing something on the news about one of the cars derailing or something.

    • @Faborplumbs
      @Faborplumbs 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The area has always been used for go-karts, at least since I started visiting in the early 1990s. The ferris wheel and rollercoaster were fairly recent additions, but a tragic accident on the coaster shut it all down.

    The thing that looked like a space ship was an attraction that dated back to the 80s or 90s. It worked like a flight simulator, with movies of 1st person perspective views of racing cars, roller coasters, etc. The simulator would rise, turn, tip, and even bounce (to simulate clacking along wooden roller coaster tracks), and fans would blow air in your face. My local mall had one for awhile.

    So I feel like this video could have been longer and also been better. If you only had a short time to film in Daytona thata understandable. Though as someone who has been going every year since I was a baby. A few things you missed and didnt take the opportunity to explore further. You completely missed your opportunity to go down to ponce inlet and visit some of the beautiful places on the river. Also there are many restaurants you could also show the new Daytona one that was briefly shown at the beginning. Also the boardwalk is far from abandoned. They are just in a transitional phase of getting new rifes put in because the old rides were just that. Old and beginning to tear apart. Not everything had to have a majestic side to it Adam. Love your content just remember we do enjoy the regular everyday things about a place. That is what makes a place truly unique and there was definitely alot of unique things you missed in Daytona.
