Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s harder than I thought to find content of people who’ve gotten the D8 visa so I appreciate you sharing it. I hope you’ll provide another update after you go through your SEF interview!
Thanks so much for making this video. We have our D8 visa appointments next week and I've been a bit nervous because our situation is the same as yours, we own a business and aren't paid a set salary and just take money out of the business as needed so it's a bit of a different situation than most people. The fact that you got approval is very encouraging! Enjoy Portugal!
The immigration process in the US is even worse. It took me five years and cost me $5,000. I'm interested in the Spansh digital nomad visa and have convinced myself it will be a breeze in comparison, lol. The Spaniards have a rule where if it takes over a certain time, it's automatically approved (I hope they still have it!). I'm considering the Portuguese one as a backup. Thanks for making this video! I hope your follow-up appointment was great.
You don't need to submit a 1 year lease. A hotel reservation is enough. I submitted a booking reservation for one week and got approved. You made the process super complicated while it's quite easy. Just provide what they ask for in their official website. NIF is not needed either
@AdrienField that was my personal experience. I think you were over prepared, as you said. I submitted my application in Bangkok. So not sure if you were asked to provide all of these.
Thank you for sharing your experience and yes, FB group is amazing! One question: you did not mentioned travel medical insurance, which company did you go with and did you purchase it for 4 or 6 months?
Hi Adrien, thanks for the information in this video it helped a-lot! I've got a one question though, is it required to show a 1 year lease for a rental to get the digital nomad visa? Because it doesn't really makes sense if your application gets denied you're stuck with a 1 year rental that you can't actually live in...? Thanks :)
Great Video Adrien, I'm quite like you as far as neuroticism is concerned. One thing I would love to know is that will you be able to renew your residency again after 2 years without much hassle?
Hi, Congrats!!! Always feels daunting going through something like this but I'm glad it worked out for you! Do you know if the Portugal D7 or D8 require you stay in Portugal for a minimum amount of time each year? I ask because I believe the Spain nomad visa requires a person physically be in the country for 6 months minimum per year, which isn't the worst thing in the world 😄. Wishing you all the best, enjoy your new home! 👍 ** As a language teacher I really like Babbel. The layout and content of the lessons feels more functional for adults. They are always offering some version of a lifetime membership in the $250-300 range. Best of luck!
Dear Adrien, I thought about you and your process today, and bamm, you show up with great news! Congratulations and welcome back! Stuff like visas and burocratic stuff are stressful and time consuming everywhere, and 🇵🇹 has been slammed with more and more processes for visas and residency permits. FYI, my sister is, Portuguese like I am. She is married to an US citizen. She and her family moved back home last June. Her husband is entitled to immediate residency and citizenship as they have been married for 20 years, but here we are in May 2023 and only the 1st phase of his residency process is complete! 🙈 As you probably know, unless you are a bonafide resident here, you cannot enroll in the national medical scheme, our SNS, and that's frustrating, but that's how busy they are. Now it gets easier for you Adrien, so enjoy. 🙏👍❤️🇵🇹
@@AdrienField So happy for you Adrien, now you can rest easy. I could see the happiness and relief on your face. Now take things here w a grain of salt and patience. Things sometimes are absurd for a (good) reason we may not know about. If you need any help, reach out to ur community here on Ytube, u cud hv saved lots of dough on NIF's and what not. 🙄But it's done now let the party begin! 🎉👀🎊🤣
Thanks so much for this video! So how long from the embassy appt until your office manager received your passport back? Update: ignore, I heard you say 2 months
Thanks for such an informative video, Adrien. I'm looking to move to Portugal.I was wondering if it was possible to come on a digital nomad visa and then get citizenship after renewing it and living in Portugal for 5 years? Also, would an airbnb booking be okay to show as residence when I arrive or do I have to have a lease agreement?
@@AdrienField Thanks so much for your reply! I was planning to use Anchorless, it wasn't them was it? & any chance you know, are you allowed to stay in portugal in your apartment while they process your visa?
Congratulations! Adrien, me and my husband want to apply to d8 too. How much does 3040 gross euros to net? I find some calculators but all them are different. Please guide us, we want to learn if we have sufficent income
Thanks so much for sharing your experince of applying for D8 visa. I'm preparing for D8 too, and I wonder if it is possible to submit a promissory lease contract instead of formal lease contract? To avoid the rental expenses during the visa application reviewing time.
Hey Adrien, Awesome video. Before getting a visa, I can show my minimum income of 3040 euros for 6 months. but after getting the visa, it may stay below 3040 euro for some months, for example, I may not be able to work fully during holidays and the months I am sick. Is there any problem after getting this visa when i want to extend the visa, can the SEF check my income after getting the visa and prevent me from renewing the visa because i have earned less for some months?
I'm on a EU Blue Card in Finland, but I'm restricted from working for myself with this card. I've also got a family following me, I'm wondering whether you're eligible for family reunification with this D8 visa?
Hi Adrien, I came across your experience with the D8 visa and noticed you applied using your own LLC. I’m working on something similar and I’m confused about how you managed the contract with a single-member LLC. Are you the only signer, or did you have someone else sign? I’d really appreciate your guidance on this! i already send massage on insta Thanks in advance!
Good detail for your step by step process. Quite helpful, thank you!

Do you recommend any agencies or lawyers?
No, better to do it on your own
Congrats from A Bahraini in Bali 😅
