Excellent video... I'm training for the Pan Mass and looking for a fun ride to mix up the training monotony, after watching this I will break out the gravel bike next weekend and bang this ride out!!! Thanks again for the enlightening video

I did this trail last year from Northfield to Lebanon. Stayed overnight at the Fireside Inn. Took my time on the trail and enjoyed myself.

Something cool you missed around the 40min mark. The bklackwater ski area just off to the right has nordic trails leading from the bike path. They can be ridden on a bike too.
I watched the whole thing, but I am stuck inside on a winter day sooo..... Nice job! I ride sections of the trail on my Mt bike in the winter months when possible. It is packed pretty well by snow mobiles and groomers.
I have ridden the section from Leb to Grafton many times and know it well. The trail is now paved from West Lebanon to Lebanon since you shot this vid, but hard pack gravel as depicted the rest of the way.
The mill with the damn in Enfield was the Baltic Woolen Mill at one time. You also passed by the old excelsior mill in Lebanon early on in your video.
Speeding it up feels like you are riding an ebike
The trail looks pretty hard packed and smooth. Would it be fine on 35m tires?
The trail is hard packed, the only loose gravel I have seen is directly to and from road crossings and bridges (there also may be a height gap between the trail and roads/ decks in some places). I have ridden the stretch from Andover to Boscawen (and areas inbetween) on 42m tires, and have never had any issues. It is a wonderfully scenic and historic trail. I'd definitely recommend you check it out!
The trail does vary in but mostly packed gravel. I have 700 x 35 tries.
Hey, sorry I didn’t see this. For the most part, I think you would be just fine on 35s. There are some loose spots, but they don’t last long and nothing too difficult.
I ride a cyclocross bike on this trail with 700 x 32's, with no issue. There are a few sections in the spring that can be quite muddy though so keep that in mind.
I have a nonrandom ride for you. The fastest century in New England. Dixville Notch, NH to Rumford, ME. You begin at 1800 ft and descend along the Androscoggin River to 405 ft, Peru, ME. You then turn left back to Rumford.
Dixville NH Rt 26 east to Errol. In Errol right turn onto Rt 16 south to Gorham. Merge with Rt 2 in Gorham. Gorham to Bethel, Me. Rt 2 from Bethel to Rumford. Entering Rumford stay straight at the green bridge Rt 108 South to Peru, ME. West Peru, turn left onto North Main St cross the Androscoggin and turn left again, Rt 2 West to Mexico and Rumford. Sundays are best and early in the morning the traffic lights in Berlin are set to be green for Rt 16 (when there are no cars waiting to turn onto Rt 16).
The biggest grade about 20 min in was a railroad tessel that used to go over the road..back around 1991 they made the trail go under a regular auto bridge on rt 4.

Hey man
So every model from the goPro five black onward has a GPS with some basic telemetry data. I found it to be pretty in accurate especially with things like acceleration and elevation
So I used a program called Dashware and then imported the dirt GPS file from my Garmin Watch.
Most of the basic overlays are already waiting for you when you download the software. Heart rate, math, speed, grade and time of day. The bigger trick was with the GoPro to stay on that long and not pwr down. that was done through a anchor power backup And a USB cable with the battery door open. You can trick the GoPro to stay in on so long as that cable stays in place as long as the battery from the GoPro is removed. It worked really well.
