“Happy Christmas (War Is Over)” is a Christmas song released in 1971 as a single by John & Yoko + The Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir. It was the seventh single release by John Lennon outside his work with the Beatles. It is a protest song against the Vietnam War, “Happy Christmas (War Is Over)” has since become a Christmas favourite, frequently recorded by other artists and appearing on compilation albums of seasonal music. Jan van Kraeydonck wrote the arrangement for concert band, fanfare and brass band.
