As a British person with a maison secondaire in Normandy this video makes me both happy and sad at the same time. I think both of these bridges are amazing and I love going over them as I travel to and from our home back to the ferry ports, but I am also sad because the covid pandemic has kept me away from my beloved France for two years. Hopefully we will soon be back over enjoying your lovely smooth and clear autoroutes and cool bridges.

What a cool stretch! That first bridge was absolutely incredible, but the second one that crossed the canal was nothing to sneeze at either. The six lane stretch after that also looked to be very high quality and smooth. Great video!

Absolutely stunning!! Your videos make me smile, as I am watching you drive in beautiful countryside, and over 2 bridges that make me happy to see. :) Thank you for taking the time to squish us all into your camera to see this. Thank you for taking the time to do the editing, etc , and all the work it takes to put this on here. You are "da bomb". ;)

Enjoyed this video and this was the bridge on Jeremy Clarkson's The Grand Tour where he lost his brakes on his 1970s era Maserati

Fun fact: If you look at the back of a €500 banknote, you will see a depiction of a cable stayed bridge which bears a striking resemblance to the Pont de Normandie.

That bridge on the note is not based on this bridge though. Because there were more countries than banknotes in the eurozone when the notes were introduced, the bridges on the map are entirely ficticious.
All of the bridges have been built on a small scale in the city of Spijkenisse, as an artsy kind of thing. The 500 euro banknote bridge is here: www.google.nl/maps/@51.8516593,4.3356012,3a,24.8y,169.77h,82.54t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s7s74sKSq2VQv_29RVoiEjQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!5m1!1e1

Hi European Roads :) Have you ever drive to Portugal or Andorra? If yes, hopefully you have the recording along the way to there.
