Didn't expect I could watch Endeavour without comparing it with Morse. I missed John Thaw 😥 very much and now I also miss Shaun Evans but in a cifferent way.
I love how Shaun is really becoming his older self in the last series, the end couldnt have been more poignant. Brilliant actor, and a really lovely gentle and genuine man. Its just all the heartache for Morse and Joan, its still there. Thank you Shaun❤
I fell in love with Detective Morse at first sight! His handsome and intelligent face, graceful body movements, deep connection with music, love pain etc. These days, I am watching the old episodes of this beautiful series for the second time. I'm saving the final episode for last with curiosity and excitement. As a result of this unique tv experience there seems to be no difference between Morse and Shaun, sorry Mrs Evans :)
This was not an easy thing to do...follow in the footsteps of the original series while still making it their own...but they did it. I'm a big fan of the original and of John Thaw. I don't think any Endeavour story hit the heights of the best of Morse. I do think Endeavor had more consistency, where every episode is from good to very good. Morse had some really great stories, and also a couple of stinkers. I have not seen a single Endeavour episode where I was rolling my eyes at the story.
@sgordon and @StephanieSwift: Sacrilege! Of course it's fine for you to like whoever you want but to say that Sean is "Far better" than John Thaw? Sorry but you're nuts! I think Sean is fantastic too. But John Thaw was incredible as Morse and his portrayal is why Sean even had Endeavour to do in the first place. I think that both of them are great in the role and brought their own talent to make both shows fantastic. Special mention to Kevin Whately as well for his Lewis and Roger Allam for his wonderful Thursday.
@@1ouncebird Also the scripts in Endeavour have him solving him every single case in every single series with a genius that would put Sherlock Holmes to shame. Thaw's Morse fumbled around a lot. More realistic.
Never understand this devotion to Thaw's Morse who was a mean spirited, grumpy, no appreciation for Lewis boss, who never paid for a drink and was a bumbling oaf with women, oh and did I mention an inverted social snob who resented anyone with money and position? What a guy?
Best show on TV, love Endeavor...wish it could go on forever : )
Is how I felt about Inspector Morse and Lewis too..

Shaun Evans was incredible as Morse
Love the series & Shaun’s version of Morse
Same. Wish it could've lasted forever. All good things...

Yesss, the way he slowly turns more into the original morse over the course of so many series is done really well and makes a lot of sense
I love Shaun hes brilliant as an actor and director. He works so hard.❤❤❤

Love his natural accent!!
Loved the last series a lot 😭 Will miss it 🧡
Love his own accent!
She talks to all her interviewees like they're children.
How i wish the film, it s romance, love, detective intrigue, would be endless.
Great series ☺️
Oh how I miss Shaun Evans! I wish he was or will be in another series. Yes the interviewer talks too much for sure
OMG, why can't YT get the CC right???
Masterpiece of crime!
Wearing that rain coat and acting humble and respectful at all times… definitely has times of Colombo.
The disappointing ending that endeavour didn’t marry Joan is as disappointing as Jon Snow stabbing his Queen

Shaun Evans looooove!❤❤❤ 4:09 4:11
WHAT IS HER ACCENT CALLED?
I think Shaun Evans is far better than John Thaw was!
Everything doesn't have to be a competition! Be kind!
I have to agree. I like "Endeavour" more than I ever liked "Morse".
rubbish
