Fascinating. Clearly you have studied the 1972 version very closely, as the Dining Salon is spot-on GORGEOUS, even the texture of the gold chairs is exactly as I imagine it and as it appears in nice, sharp-focus publicity stills. I love how much you focus on the dishes sliding and breaking, as I love watching dishes slide and smash myself (I mean, look what my screen name is, in the book that the movie was based on, he talks about crockery crashing!). I loved ALL the sliding tables and chairs falling over and seeing everything come apart, I wonder if that was fun for you to do, or hard and unpleasant? I must say I do not know anything about what "Roblox" is, I gather it is some sort of digital game with robot figures? I sound stupid I know, but I am old and not up on newer technology. Anyway the colors and textures were lovely, and you even got the disc lights on the ceiling right, and the odd seashell-like things on the wall, the patterns on the glass panels in the railing (AND my favorite extra in the film, the lady in the blue dress who flips over that railing), the designs on the doors, the dancefloor, carpet color, the bandstand chairs (which are different than the dining room chairs), so much of it absolutely delighted me. EVEN the funky weird green centerpiece things on the tables! The sound effects too, especially the male screams, just terrifying. I have also done Poseidon spoofs and ballroom dioramas and am VERY familiar with all those interior design motifs so I was delighted to see them included here. I am curious though why you chose not to depict Mr. and Mrs. Rosen? Would that have just been adding too many characters to animate? I am not criticizing, just curious. :) Thank you for a fascinating interpretation of a great film!
It isn’t animating but it’s close, it’s like a game but i hire some people to make the sets and act in it
This is probably my favourite comment of all of TH-cam!!! I am the set builder of the ballroom and the fact that someone payed attention to the detail and hard work I’ve put in it really made me smile. I also feel honoured to have seen your previous videos like the diorama build and the Poseidon Adventure parody. So I just wanna say thank you!!
@@wowy201 Oh my goodness you saw those! Ha ha now *I* feel honoured! So we both share that love of that incredible set. Just think, in 1971/72 when it was originally designed (by a Mr. William Kreber, now passed, sadly), could he have possibly imagined its legacy would be carried on for decades afterward? There are so, so very many fans of this film, largely in my age group who saw it when we were 8 or 9 years old in the theater when it first came out - it is so nice to see that younger folks are embracing it too. It is so amazing since the special effects were real, not CGI, and all those incredibly detailed inverted engine room sets. But the dining salon will always be my favorite! Oh to have been an extra back then, in that room, pretending to eat day after day while wearing the same clothes and smiling the entire time! I have had the delight of meeting a few of the extras who told me great stories about being on the one part of the set that tilted, and that the dishes were real, and hurt, and the food, also real, causing for a very slippery mess. This was years ago when they used to hold screenings of the film on board the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Some of the stars would attend, and a few of the extras. It was a wonderful time. They had ONE prop from the dining room set there, a piece of the glass from one of the railings, with that gold circular design on it like the guy falls through! It sold in a silent auction. Amazing it survived all these years!
@@CrashingCrockery Thank you for telling these amazing stories that I’ve never heard before! Also answering some questions from your first comment, the Roblox director didn’t add characters like the old couple because each moving person you see in the video involves a person behind the screen. It can be tricky for all the main characters to be able to appear as they have different time zones. The furniture and cutlery sliding down in the capsizing scene can be frozen and unfrozen using a tool so it is pretty much easy and fun. Also happy new year!!

Mike is not very nice to Mr. Scott. I think he’s glad when he died in the end after Linda and I think it’s because he’s making everyone go through the ship and escape through the middle of the street and I think I only seen the 2005 Poseidon And they got picked up and if you did a scene while they were in the helicopter, Mark would’ve said “I’m glad preacher is dead but I feel bad for my little Linda”

The story of the s.s. Poseidon adventure: The poseidon was a ship that set sail from america to greece but somewhere in the midddle of the altanic ocean is a suddened impact of a giant wave and tipped it over some passengers died but some survived a group of kids adults and old and 1 crew being on the lookout for water and they were tring to escape soon later there was a giant expolison and caused the ballroom to flood passengers die and soon the group be gang the journey throught the ship and 1 crew died soon later susan spotted the guy she danced with and he followed the group then they were climbing but linda wasnt holding and fell in the fire but her husband telled the peacher that he killed her but he wasnt right and soon the peacher sacirficed his life for the others and the peacher died and the coast garud found the surviors and grabbed ther hand and they were thrilled to be alive and they got in the helicopter and the poseidon turned right back up at the stren and begang the finally pluge. Queen Mary And Poseidon 1972 Are The Same Ships
When I was a kid I loved learning about the Greek god Poseidon from harry potter or something. My brother showed me a movie about the poseidon and i said that that ship was an imposter and that it had to be taken back to the playground and slide down the slide, swing on the swings, and climb a tree. I told him that that's what the real Poiseidon would do but my brother got really mad and my kids appeared and told me that poseidon was a god and i told them that he was and that ship was an imposter and my brother said that the ship had the same name and i told him that the ship changed its name to get attraction and he got mad and we had a wrestle match in the living room and our kids joined in and i felt like it was a real WWE match with Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne johnson makes the best movies and i told my brother that that was the case and he laughed and i laughed and we continued to wrestle. I told him that I had a dream that a ship called Titanic broke into my house and i was hiding under the bed with my brother and my brother in law and Titanick came into the room pulled me out and gave me a hug.

In reality, the outdoor scenes were filmed un Long Beach on sea scenes were usted with a miniature replica as in the old Titanic movies.
