@@Razorbacks1You're still gonna need to kick in at least another minor league prospect in that plus a round B supplemental pick in that trade, that's too much for Cease as the Twins will lose festa or Mathews in that for one year of cease. We should be talking to the Marlins, maybe the Angels if the Twins want to package Vasquez and Julien in a trade.

I’d definitely be on board if they could get a better manager but I got a feeling the front office is interfering with his lineups and innings limits on pitchers because they have fallen in love with analytics. Rocco may not have as much control as we think

What's wrong with Dylan Cease's arm would be my question. Seems strange the Padres would want to move him otherwise. 13.7 million for a top tier pitcher, I would just let him go to FA. He's going to play his ass off as it's a contract year. Would be a dumb move. This seems like smoke and mirrors fleecing.
I do not like the idea of trading both Keashall and Festa for 1 year unless Cease wants to sign an extension. Id rather wait a year or two after the drama is over and see whats on the market then

This feels a little bit like a final rental piece type move for a contender and I’m not sure the Twins are there. Also this would empty the war chest leaving us with every little a year from now. You would have to be making a legit run which is a stretch for a team without a first baseman.

They're no longer in a win now mode, the Padres are at 244 million payroll and they don't want to get taxed being over the first threshold.
Don’t trade Luke Keaschall he is the future at 2b, not Royce Lewis who is a defensive liability at 2b.
