Tom it took me 2 months to learn to play this at performance speed with your backing track that I recommend 100% to get it in on a performance level. I have a variety band and this song has put some spice in entertainment for the seniors. The seniors and shutins need entertainment but we need them as an audience even more. If you as a musician or what ever talent you can give away is looking for a place to share your talent please consider your senior citizens whether in a nursing home or other housing facilities. I know it will bring a smile to them and even more to you.

Your Ventures covers are absolutely perfect in every way. Nokie and the other Ventures would be proud of you. In fact, I can't tell your covers from the originals. And I was a HUGE Ventures fan. In fact, the first record I ever bought was a .45 of Walk Don't Run when I was 11 in 1960. I loved Ventures music so much that my first guitar was a Mosrite Mark I in about 1966 or so. (Damn! I wish I still had it if only because it would be so valuable now.) But you're playing the correct guitar for these covers of Ventures songs which were made before The Ventures switched to Mosrite guitars (they later went back to Fenders and guitars of their own design as you know.) From then until about 1968 or so, The Ventures were my favorite band and I bought every album they came out with up until then, which over 30. But I especially love their very early albums such as the one this song was on. These songs bring back such good memories. I actually have almost all of their old albums in digital form now.
I generally don't like cover but you've done an amazing job and it's great to see someone keep these old songs alive. And to those who may think The Ventures songs are dated or even corny, it's good to keep in mind the fact that many of the greatest rock guitarists to follow named The Ventures as great influences on their playing. And many of them began playing guitar with the help of the Play Guitar With the Ventures LPs which were the only instructional albums of all time to actually make it on Top 100 music lists.

Super love this song. One by the Ventures I have not heard before. Looks like this will be on my list to learn. Wish the tab was on a PDF. It’s easier for me to learn and refresh my memory when it is written down on paper. Wish you had all your tabs in a book.

I love this, Tom. Is the middle the same as the middle of Malaguena? Or just sounds similar?
It does have that same melody. I wonder if there Malagueña is quoting this or vice versa? Or it may be a common melody used in Spanish songs. Not sure.
