I’m a 27-year-old blind DJ and Charles Dixon is a good friend of mine. He got me to spin at a house music festival in New Jersey before I moved down to North Carolina. He’s very knowledgeable and him and I have had plenty of extensive conversations on the music industry and what not.

"The Quiet Storm" format was started at WHUR-FM radio created by Cathy Hughes and Melvin Lindsey was actually the third host. He was the host that finally worked for the format

Hey brother, who were the original quiet storm deejays? Dyana Williams told me that she and Melvin Lindsay were like the 3rd and 4th deejays to do it. But some Howard students were first

Great stories! Charles was the first person from Columbia records to send me records! also was a crew brother with the Tecntions. 1:55 that Tamia record is still big in Michigan, it's call the Tamia Hustle in Detroit. Lots of Detroit hustle songs out there with there own dance, mostly older songs.

This man is telling multiple lies throughout this interview. Unfortunately the host are too young and misinformed to recognize the lies. For one, Saying he was the first to have a radio dj data base is insane!!!! There were many record company promotions executives around before him who all had a data base full of radio DJ’s around the United States and overseas. How do you think they were able to do their job? Or did Sir Charles invent mixshow promotions too? 😂. The 2nd lie is that he started the Technition DJ’s. He was not the founder! The 3rd lie… He was not fired because of crazy in love. This is a story he tells to look like a hero to Beyonce fans. The 4th lie, he’s getting booked to dj around the country… Where Sir? The 5th and biggest lie is when he said Bruno Mars wasn’t popular until Mark Ronson put him on Uptown Funk. Bruno had multiple number one hits on billboard HOT 100 including singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade” before Uptown Funk existed. If he’s lying about those things, what else is he lying about? I wish the host of this show did better research. SMH!

I really liked the story behind Beyoncé’s crazy in love. I just didn’t like that the interviewer constantly stopped Charles in the middle of his speech. It pissed me off and gave me anxiety and fear that he would cut him again and again😫. LET US HEAR THE FULL STORY! We need more interviews from Charles 😅

This is so interesting and crazy. My friend from London was actually Chenelle’s producer and did the initial trip with her to NY during that Virgin deal. He told me the whole experience also. So interesting to hear it from Charles’ side. She also recorded a track for Fast and Furious, which I’m not sure got released.
