    I'm not necessarily learning french, but I found your channel and love it! I learned German as an adult. One thing I read and found true is, when a mistake is pointed out in pronunciation, do not listen to the mistake - just the correct way. Some people.will retain the false, not the correct.

    Merci beaucoup, Pearl! I love your videos!! I started learning French when I was about 4 years old and haven't had the opportunity to speak French the last 40 years. I am so happy to find out that I do not make those 10 mistakes that drive French people crazy!! Perhaps because French was the first foreign language I learned! :-)

    Great video !
    I'd add another mistake (that doesn't drive me crazy, but it's a mistake easy to fix) : I sometimes see in TH-cam comments "viva la France", which is a mix between Spanish/Italian/Portuguese/... "viva", and French "la France".
    The correct spelling is "Vive", with an E (that we don't pronounce btw 😅).
    But it's nice to say that ! 😊😊
    (I am sorry for my bad English, feel free to correct my mistakes !)

    • @MyFrenchStory
      @MyFrenchStory  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Salut, thanks for your comment. 1 tip that I use is to systematically revise what I learned the day before and the day before that and an so on... like that you make sure information will stick. It is all about répétions 😉 It can be very hard and repetitive but keep up the good work and don’t give up 😘

    Je ne sais pas si quelqu'un l'a déjà mentionné, mais il y a un cas très particulier où on peut _entendre_ ou _lire_ "beaucoup des", et c'est là où le "des" est en fait l'article contracté "des", tel que "Beaucoup des gens qui l'ont connu ont eu du mal à le cerner" (dans un article sur Macron) ou "Beaucoup des gens qui appellent ont l'impression que leur souffrance n'est pas légitime." (article dans le Nouvel Obs) Et les apprenants qui voient ça vont mal comprendre la distinction...

    Beware! From 5:00 - 5:52 is not appropriate if you are teaching lower grade levels. The video is great and I do enjoy watching many of your lessons The words were all sort of helpful and harmless, then out of the blue comes p****n, then onto "Merci". The video has the notation that it is approved for viewing by the school board. For this video, It should be marked as not viewable by the school board.

      Enfaîte on utilise pas ce mots on dira une female chat car chatte est un mots familier qui veut dire littéralement en anglais p*ssy
      Donc c'est vraiment un mots à ne surtout pas utiliser, car c'est insultant et mal placé si une personne utilise ce mots dans une phrase cela peut prêter à confusion. J'espère avoir pu t'aider.
