Between Tethys and Marisa, I'd say that Tethys is the better choice for Gerik. They're support growth is faster and more in depth than Gerik and Marisa's. They're also more confident and normal around each other.
It's a shame, because I really like Marisa, but yeah, Tethys works way better with Gerik than she does. Another point for why they're a better pairing is the fact that their paired ending is way better than Geriks ending with Marisa.
