Nice 👍 You re-used the back glass, or bought a new panel? Just that the back adhesive is supposed to go under the camera cover, not over the top of it. Not sure how much this matters. I don't think I've seen anyone replace Samsung battery adhesive with a genuine piece. Samsung adhesive is usually so despised 😄
Thanks, I re-used the back but the adhesive was different than what I remember. I also remember it going under but the way this one was, only way it seemed to go on was like that but went on fine with no issues. Yeah I don't like the samsung adhesive for battery either.
@@talha2662 yes. Bought a new one and never and I mean never make it like a go pro. i don't care about the rating :D wahhaha i traded it for S23+ at samsung store. they still accept defective unit for 200$ top up bonus.
@pbkreviews. Do you fix phones as a service or do you only do videos? My S22ultra had screen replaced a while back but possibly got wet this weekend and won't turn on.. wireless charging nor usb charging show anything on the screen....would really like to recover my data
The one's that showed a red X were replaced since they were damaged beyond repair, and the ones that were with a green check mark were able to be re used.
i have a water damage problem with my s22 ultra. but I don't want to repair with plug and play style cause that make my data lose. I want to repair it by my self. can I ?
This is how samsung build their mobo? Seriously, they need to learn from Apple how to make well cases compact mobo, which have the advantages of shorter pcb lines enhancing overall performance and reduce heating
0:43, that's not the original water resistant seal, it's just some bits of generic adhesive placed around the border. This phone has been opened before, and not resealed properly.
@@RestoreTechnique but still, a water resistant phone can still get water damaged, because resistant does not equal proof. There are people who have phones that are unopened, with water damage, despite water resistance. Of course, this one's a different case
@@TIMETECH07 Yeah true. Didn't stop me from taking my Sony Z3 Compact in the pool with me 💦 However, I took my Sony Acro S into the ocean in Fiji, ended up with no phone for the rest of the trip 😭
Yep because the water damage on bottom had damaged both the display connector and display chips, the sub board/charger port board, and some of the flex cables as well as the bottom speaker. The main board, one flex cable, the battery, the cameras and mmWave antenna as well as the wireless charging coil were still good.
Sorry for this bad review, I always love your content but Any content without multi media is not a great content. Throughout the disassemble you didn't interact with subscribers or giving the suggestions how to look into places just mute. This will give a bad impression and not interesting to watch.
These type of videos are more asmr type, other people enjoy these type of videos as well so I don’t think he was aiming for a tutorial type video just a fun to watch video instead.
Absolutely the best phone repair channel on TH-cam. No horrible music and superb repairs. Thank you sir. Greetings from Reynosa,Mexico.
Thank you :)
Samsung = good guy, sells parts to 3rd party repair shops

Your work so smoothly and confidently! Very impressive!👍

mine after water damage it only shows boot loop. do you think it still has a chance to save the screen and board?

Did the front camera die when take it out ? How much was the total cost of repairs?
No, I cut the clue around the camera with an X-acto knife and carefully pried it off. Parts cost me around $200 USD
where do you buy the replacement parts?
I get them from multiple places, but one place which usually has original manufacturer parts is www.mobiledefenders.com
Would it be a good idea to do some repair speedruns?
lol no clue, maybe :)
Since there is no narration, did you have to use new parts to replace the ones you removed?
The one's that showed a red X were replaced since they were damaged beyond repair, and the ones that were with a green check mark were able to be re used.
Why didnt u reuse 2 of the connectors? U saw corrosion? Nd the last one was good?
yeah, there was damage to the cable/connector heads from corrosion so had to replace those.
So how do you know which parts are bad and need replacing? I drop my phone in sea water. 😢
Kindly, you can tell me where you order your spare parts for mobile can you recommend me the seller i want to order my cameras for s22 plus
you can check mobilesentrix.com or rounded.com
Ponsel nya udah bagus. Cuma, desain modul kamera nya yang bikin gagahnya hilang.
Sir mere S21 Fe Phone me bhi yahi problem hai kya aap thik kar dijiyega. Because mujhe uss phone se data nikalna hai.
Is there somewhere i could send my phone ? I need photos off of it.
Apple should take the hint 😂. Funny story about the self repair program hahaha 😄
😄 👍
maybe you can explain why some part must have to replace with new one. and how to analyze it. thanks sir

please, give him some cold water, maybe he's thirsty. lol.....
haha
you should at least talk and explain everything!
Well, you bought almost all the phone's parts.
Better to buy a used one, and sell the old one for parts.
yep, was just doing it for the video to get it working, not really considering the cost and how many parts would be required to replace. :)
Selama ini, ponsel saya harus di balik, agar bisa melihat dengan pass. Skrg, ga usah di Balik lagi, karena udah pass.

How about green line on screen
Did this cost more than a new phone?
Cost around $200 USD for the new parts.

My question would be just how a S22 got water damage. It has an IP68 rating.
lol true, but its water resistant and not water proof. enough time under water or deep enough would get in.
0:43, that's not the original water resistant seal, it's just some bits of generic adhesive placed around the border. This phone has been opened before, and not resealed properly.

Si suponia que es resistente al agua 🤔... Samsung vuelve a engañar
Water resistance does not equal water proof
IP68 dust/water resistant up to 1.5m for 30 mins...
Yup. lol any deeper and longer will most likely result in water damage.
Water in USB
Yup
