I'm 61 and love what she did with it, I had doubted her, said that she will not have enough fabric, but she did it. Excellent job.
The princess seams on the front bodice are so flattering, as is the overall fit. Many of us ( I mean myself) might have difficulty knowing how to go bra-less with such an open back. It looks so well-fitted and lovely on you and a sleeveless version would make a great summer dress too.

You popped up in the feed. I LOVE what you can do. This is adorable. I like the dress you chose. I really want to see thrift flips into something you might actually wear in your daily life. This looks like a date night dress, great for a wedding, or even a garden party with a big hat. Love that this might even be worn to church. I am new here, do you make everyday clothes? I would love to see you work on a line of sportswear. House dresses? Something I might bother making for myself.

The dress is sooo pretty. I do think you should make the pattern into a PDF version. I'm still a beginner at up-cycling but this would be something I see myself making.
Also, the copyright free music used was excellent...a version of gotta go by a korean artist named Chungha...I adore that song (can you tell that I've listened to it a million times...probably not, moving on). It honestly made the video more enjoyable than it already was...which I did not think to be possible but here we are😊🤗🤗

Love the fabric...loving the sleeves! Yes maybe some vilene interfacing to puff them out a little.
For me I would make the back hole smaller and make the body of the skirt a little longer, but it looks Great on you I’m looking forward to your next creation 🤩

Fabulous dress - this is way more than a thrift flip. It's so good to see this process. I am still quite new to sewing so this level of work is a bit advanced for me just now but I feel really inspired by this and will get there myself.

This happens to me all the time. I buy XL clothes at the thrift store and flip them into something else. Problem is, it takes FOREVER for me to get to it cos I'm always flip flopping about what I want to do with. Then sometimes I begin to look at inspirations that I know damn well I don't have enough fabric for 😁😁😁

That is fantastic, suits you perfectly. I think people would benefit a lot if you put that out as a pattern. I love an open back but I never wear them just because I'm more comfortable overall in a bra, but maybe a pattern would be nice to play around with to put in an extra strap of fabric or something to cover that.

I definitely would add the netting at the shoulder to give it more volume. It turned out fabulously. I had my doubts along the way. I think all the changes to the back were spot on. I like the button closure on back rather than the tie. This is a 100% success!

I am gobsmacked! !! That is amazing. At 65 I could not rock the short skirt but if that skirt were longer. A PDF sounds intriguing.......do you need pattern testers.........I have been sewing my own clothes since I was 9. I just loved your video and love seeing the process.
