A lot of people seem to think this video is directed mainly towards women, and while it does give an amazing message to women, the more you look at it the more messages you can find that are aimed towards everyone. It's relatable to everyone in some way on a lot of different levels. Lindsey breaking out of the control to do what really makes her happy, something that a lot of people struggle with. Being told what to do/wear and where to go and such something a lot of other people have to go through. Being denied something you aim to do, wanting to have something you are truly passionate about. Everyone searches for something like that but a lot are denied it due to controlling figures in their life. Wanting to explore more, wanting to try new things and find what truly makes you happy. Something that nearly everyone relates to. Even as a teenage male, I find inspiration in this video, it shows that it's very relatable (like the things mentioned) to a lot of other people as well as women. Wow this woman gets across amazing messages. Just incredible.
To me it depicts an elastic identity and how an elastic identity grows through the identity of others since it does not identify with itself anymore. th-cam.com/video/tRtBa4nOO04/w-d-xo.html

I am sorry to say that I just discovered your music. I am a grandfather that still loves rock and roll but your music is just beautiful. I am sure I will probably never see you perform live but I will certainly be listening to all your music.
We are probably of similar age, Cam. Lindsey frequently tours, so check online. After several years, I finally saw her in concert this past summer and was so glad that the stars aligned. :)
Can’t believe this came out 10 years ago!! Lindsey, I’ve been watching your videos since 2014, and I amazed at the amount of Incredible talent that you have!! Crystallize was actually the first video that I saw and I’ve been watching ever since. I love you, your an inspiration and my dream is to meet you one day. ❤️
There's a LOT of symbolism in this video, as you might have figured out. Lindsey is the normal girl in the video, while the man on the computer is symbolism for modern day society. He controls what she wears, where she goes, and what happens to her. She doesn't like what's happening to her, but she feels like she has no choice until she finally realizes she doesn't have to follow society's rules. She doesn't need to dress like what he wants, or go where he what's, or does what he wants. She is independent and does what she desires despite what anyone else tells her. Great job, Lindsey. Weather or not this was the original theme for the video.... It makes you think and it gets your imagination running. Thank you again, dear! Your videos are amazing!
Tespri yes I do think that men are programed everyone is before they're awakened and my only goal is not to win a debate but to defend people especially the ones who seemingly can't defend themselves. Yes it was rude of me but it irks me to see people try and demean others. I know what the truth is. It actually seems that you don't because you try and turn my comments on the ruling class around and make it something about elementary grade kids. The ruling class looks to distract us with things like make up and muscles and those are just the bare basics they've got much more serious ways of keeping our eyes off of what they do. If you wish I'll explain that after you respond, do not mistake for one second though that they don't program society the one percent wish to control us. They want us to be mindless zombie slaves so, when they wipe out ninety percent of our population the ten percent won't fight back. If you don't believe me or think me crazy then do your own research. I'll point you in the right direction search FEMA death camp or Phil schieder or even the most simple and broad view of it. Look into the Illuminati I've studied it for years. I may not have shown it before but I am very open minded about a lot of things but when I know what is real what isn't my opinion will not be swayed.
BalloonFrog I'd also like to add that at the beginning she changes her pose to match what is being projected onto her. Thought that was an interesting little thing. :)
+BalloonFrog her hair is also more and more wavy in the end, which shows that it's less forced. great discovery, it made the video so much more meaningful than only amazing music :)
She's amazing! I just saw her on Dec. 23, 2019. If you ever get the chance to see her in person, do it! She's even more amazing live. Tear-provoking amazing!
This video is amazing. The guy represents society; dictating what we wear, how we act, and basically controlling us all to be the same. But Lindsey says "Hey, it's okay to be different." This video is so inspiring to just dare to be different. Lindsey truly has a gift, not only in the sense that her music and videos are inspiring and beautiful, but also in the sense that her music doesn't need any words to make us understand exactly what she is trying to say or show. Hands down one of the best artists of our days. Much love, respect and admiration for Lindsey Stirling :)
I don't know if you are here, if you still read comments about your old songs, but I had to say it : Thank you. This song helped me and protected me from suicide in one of my worst period of my life.
The first time I listened to this song was in 2014. I was so inspired by it to pick up Violin and play this song on it. Its been 6 years and Im happy to announce that I havent learnt a single bit of violin. Nice
Someone need to invent a word who can describe how epic Lindsey are, seriously... theres no words for something which is that good as this song. Best way I can describe it is by tears falling from my eyes, and i'm sure this is the music which is played in heaven
hm, "Lindsical" says that it's Lindsey's way of music. But doesn't say the "epic" part. Seven asked us to describe how epic they are xD. But I like the word :D
Undoubtedly, Lindsey Stirling is the best violinist, dancer, singer, composer and performance artist of all time ... A perfect and amazing combination! I Love You Lindsey Stirling! Soon come to Brazil, His beautiful!
Esta fue el primer video tuyo que ví hace ya muchos años y me cautivo , sin darme cuenta han pasado 9 años y sigue siendo igual de increíble que la primer vez que lo escuche 😍
I love the visual aspect of this video! It should win awards. It tells such a great, comprehensive and relateable story. :) I love Lindsey Stirling's music, and this song really applies to my life
I seriously don't understand how some people are confused by the concept of the video, I mean seriously, if you feel you don't understand, interpret it how you want to, and let yourself understand it by your own laws. To me, it's about a semi-abusive relationship, where the man is choosing everything for her, and she is getting up the courage to escape that. She's eventually showing everybody whats she's made of, and too us, she's worth a lot :)
She dances in a white dress which symbolises innerself, and also with red dress infront of people where expresses herself as her innerself, not in a way that people want her to be but the way she is herself. That's the thing I always love about Lindsey, every song tells a different thoughtful story but without lyrics. She is a legend!
There is more too this amazing video than what meets the eye. There is a hidden meaning behind it. (This is my opinion) I think it means she no longer lives according to others wishes. She now makes her own life and choises. She slowly broke away from the allusions and now she is free. Lindsey, I congratulate you on this AMAZING success!!!!!!!! Nice i love it! A Fan From The USA!!!!!!!!!!!!
"You can't take darkness out of a dark room, but you can fill it with light." ~ Lindsey Stirling When the world plunges into darkness, Guardians come to Earth, people whose aura is indigo. They carry the overwhelming power of light, kindness and warmth to this world. Her smile kindles hearts, her music changes people for the better. Each person has a guardian angel that protects him, and we do not know what form he can take. Today is an old man, tomorrow is a young girl. But do not let its appearance confuse you: an angel is fiercer than any dragon. But not in battle, but in attempts to reach out to us and remind who we really are. For only we ourselves have complete control over the world that we create around us.
Your music it's rocking I love it!! What I adore is the symbolism you incorporate and all your videos!! You are truly a phenomenal talent and I am grateful to you! Ty
Unbelievable, I still enjoy it! I remember first time I heard this song few years ago. It was fresh and promisingly for me and I even didn’t know who Lindsey Stirling was. I just thought it would be temporary passion for few days… ‘cause it always happened to me with lots of artists, singers, performers. But it didn’t that time! It was genuine music! Then I learned all playlist step by step and I was fascinated by harmony of her creations. And Transcendence was, actually, the first Lindsey’s song that I heard and tried to spread around my friends ;) Also, video has quite strong conception. We often try to be flexible depend on environment and conditions. But it’s really important to remember who you are. It’s always necessary to have an ability to understand how the world and society try to change our personality and how we should act in such context… Lindsey, it’s hard for me to express all my positive feelings about your performing and videos in English;) But, also, I wanted to mark your great talent as composer. I guess it’s the most important thing for creative musician. So, Thanks a lot for music, you are the best violin girl in the world! ;)
Yes that, yet it's also about finding yourself as a woman in a world that is filled with ppl that treat women as objects. That was my interpretation at least ☺️
This song has never failed to calm me down. I'm not in the best mood right now but this song is helping me through it. You even saved me once in an airplane when I was getting claustrophobic or something like that. Without you I would've lashed out in rage then and now. Thank you for making these songs!
I've listened to your songs a gazillion times (slight exaggeration..) and they have done a great deal for me, especially at the moments I've been depressed. So I would like to thank you for all the lovely music you make and I want to give a special thanks for this song, it always reminds me to stay positive and keep on trying.
Huh, I know different people will see this video and in turn interpret it differently but the way I see it, the projections where like societies expectations, she was never going to perfectly fit them but she could try. Then she broke free and was herself and happier for it. Excuse my weird interpretations XD
Lindsey doesn't want to be controlled and she wants to make her own choises and be free but the man on the computer controls what clothes she wears and what she does. But soon she realises she doesn't have to be controlled and she does things her own way. That's the message I got out of this music video. :)
I don't understand why people choose to dislike this type of stuff... I mean really if you don't like the violin don't watch her videos, if you don't like that she doesn't have any lyrics to most of her videos then don't watch them, it's entirely your choice to watch things you don't enjoy. I for one love the violin as well as Lindsey's dancing. So if you don't mind I'm going to get back to watching her videos because it is my choice to watch them.
***** Agreed, I rarely dislike, usually only in the case of blatant propaganda and obvious misinformation and then it's more like a public service than a statement about my personal likes and dislikes. Jaw112211 And yeah, always wondered about that, why watch something you don't like? Isn't that totally counter productive, that time could be used to enjoy yourself. And I'll follow your example and listen to a few more of her songs. :3
It's not? Hmm, I would like to disagree, if it's fabricated information I can understand the dislike, but whether you like or dislike certain music is very subjective and therefore dislikes are quite useless.. But that's just me.
***** Hehe, logic? I think you meant logical fallacies.. Please reread the thread and try and spot all the logical fallacies, because your first reply already contains one and you can't seem to stop. For reference, here's a link to a good page about it: - www.fallacyfiles.org/taxonomy.html
900 dislikes, 13,000,000 views. I don't see what's the problem. If you post a video with 301+ views, then you would probably get some dislikes. 900 dislikes isn't a lot, which pales in comparison to the likes.
people will always dislike even if they like the video people are weird lots of time (sorry to the youtubers but i like giving the first dislike even if i like the video xD )
I noticed that once Lindsey, including this original video of hers became popular, someone in the advertising world took notice of the design of this video, and later incorporated these types of graphics in a television commercial. Lindsey and crew , paving the way, once again to creative and entertaining visuals, appreciated and taken to practice by others.
Some people say, that art could only be drawing or painting. Well I say, art could be anything, you just need to find the inspiration. But you ARE a piece of art! Your videos are AMAZING! Keep up the good work!
I really like this song its long in a good way ! I have never heard the violin played like this , at times it sounds like 3 or more instruments like a fiddle and violin infused ! I 'm 63 and have never heard a violin like this in my life, its not just electric , but more ! Her actual heart which is beautiful is infused in the music as well !!!! She's no longer the student , but the master !!! You don't have do be an expert , you just need ears !!!
I think you are the greatest inspiration in my whole life. I owe you so much Lindsey. You will be remembered in every step I make. I want to be a writer. I sometimes let loose because my environments expects me to. And I don't want to let anyone down. Also there are so many creative heads out there that I think I am kinda stepping back, letting the others get the lead. But you let me give me motivation and ignite the inner spirit to write on with my story. Thank you so much. So, so much.
I love how unique and beautiful Lindsey's songs and videos are! She is such a wonderful multi talented lady...she leaves me in awe and makes me happy watching her videos and listening to her mesmerizing music!
I got a new Lindsey stirling cd for my birthday and I got to listen to it with my family. They wanted to kill me afterwards since it didn't have any words. I, for one, love Linsey's songs like this one, and it would be amazing if everyone saw how epic Lindsey is.
This song with the electronic beat in the background is better than the orchestra version i think.. its A-Mazing i also made a playlist of my favorite songs from Lindsey Stirling on my youtube
This has to be my favorite Lindsey Stirling song. Transcendence, Shadows, Shatter Me. I love them so much. And they are always great to listen to when i spend too much time in my head and am frustrated.
I started playing the violin because of lindsey. This song and video instantly made me fall in love with violin but i stopped playing it a year after. Listenibg to her again makes me want to play!
I love your productions, all I can say is unique, creative, wonderful. I have to watch them all. I really love it at the end where you talk, very good, thank you.
This song has the perfect balance between sad and uplifting. I really love it. And Lindsey looks so natural and beautiful. Her newer videos are more perfect but also more sterile and less authentic.
This one is my favorite. It can really carry my thoughts when I'm sitting here, daydreaming. Some music can just close out the world and give wings to your own thoughts, whatever they may be. I love it. Also the video itself is very nice. I like the story it tells, and that little hip.movement at 03:14 is the cutest, sweetest, most lovely move I have ever seen. :-)

Agreed, I rarely dislike, usually only in the case of blatant propaganda and obvious misinformation and then it's more like a public service than a statement about my personal likes and dislikes.

Hehe, logic? I think you meant logical fallacies.. Please reread the thread and try and spot all the logical fallacies, because your first reply already contains one and you can't seem to stop. For reference, here's a link to a good page about it:

900 dislikes, 13,000,000 views. I don't see what's the problem.
If you post a video with 301+ views, then you would probably get some dislikes.
900 dislikes isn't a lot, which pales in comparison to the likes.
people will always dislike even if they like the video people are weird lots of time (sorry to the youtubers but i like giving the first dislike even if i like the video xD )
I'm an Irish dancer and this here is one of the best dance songs 😄
This is one of my favorites, it's consistently playing in my head. I really need to finish learning how to play this one for me to cover someday
The idea behind the song makes it truly beautiful. Be yourself! And play amazing music when you're unsure of who you are
Love it Lindsey you are the best of best!
When my sims decide to disobey me 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
hahaha so accurated XD
Some people say, that art could only be drawing or painting. Well I say, art could be anything, you just need to find the inspiration. But you ARE a piece of art! Your videos are AMAZING! Keep up the good work!
I love you Lindsey!
I'm trying to master this on my violin 😊
This is a beautiful song!
You are amazing Lindsey 😄
This is one of the most important songs for me... the most inspirational... the one that shows the wake up .... thank you
2:30 my favorite part!!
Same for me ! i'm repeating that part non stop *.*
Yeah. For me too. Perfect blend of trance and violin.
Me too!
Me too!!!

This is probably one of the most underrated pieces I've ever heard
Lindsey is probably the most adorable girl ever. Her hair and face and style is just too good
I think you are the greatest inspiration in my whole life.
I wonder what it would cost to have you playing at my wedding
you have everything that is needed to make people happy with your music and charm
I love how unique and beautiful Lindsey's songs and videos are! She is such a wonderful multi talented lady...she leaves me in awe and makes me happy watching her videos and listening to her mesmerizing music!
Отличный клип. Каждый новый выпуск меня завораживает. Восхищаюсь Вашим творчеством.
да ;)
That musical explosion when she figures it out and finds the violin
Never gets old!!!!! I love this song!!!!! :D
I got a new Lindsey stirling cd for my birthday and I got to listen to it with my family. They wanted to kill me afterwards since it didn't have any words. I, for one, love Linsey's songs like this one, and it would be amazing if everyone saw how epic Lindsey is.
hola soy Guatemalteco y me facina las melodías que haces espero verte algún día
I literally cant express how happy i truly am to watch your videos.... THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
This song with the electronic beat in the background is better than the orchestra version i think.. its A-Mazing i also made a playlist of my favorite songs from Lindsey Stirling on my youtube
both are great by the way
I think the orchestral version is better, since im a soft music lover :)
the part starting at the 2:31 mark is the best part which brought me from " shadow "
Same
She's too good.
This has to be my favorite Lindsey Stirling song. Transcendence, Shadows, Shatter Me. I love them so much. And they are always great to listen to when i spend too much time in my head and am frustrated.
Умничка.Энергичная и жизнерадостная девушка.класс!
линдся ;)
I'm bad at haikus
But Lindsey is just awesome
So I'll just try one.
I know that feel, bro
And yeah, isn't she awesome?
Woohoo! Go Lindsey! XD
You are very right,
She has great violin skills!
Check out "Shatter Me!"
"Shatter Me" is great!
The video is so cool,
Plus Lzzy Hale's good =D
I concur with you,
The whole album is great too!
I love "Ascendance!"
Shadows start to dance
She masters tides and rivals
Spontaneously
(See what I did?)
This was the time I was getting into her music videos 🎻💖
I started playing the violin because of lindsey. This song and video instantly made me fall in love with violin but i stopped playing it a year after. Listenibg to her again makes me want to play!
Please make a song with Alan Walker!!!! Or cover Faded with him and Iselin Solheim!!!!!!
I'm actually working on a cover of Faded :D Laaaa
that is probably the best idea EVER!
No
Dose anybody know the game rolling sky there is a level and the music is a song played by him I do not know him and do not tell me who he is
maravilhosa simplesmente incrível
"You call this a glitch?!" - his supervisor.
It's not a glitch. It's a feature.
And then he'd be like
“Well, maybe a little more then a glitch? I just released an amazing violinist into the world...”
And afterwards he gets fired 😄😄😄
@@YTC12345 No, he gets promoted!
I love your productions, all I can say is unique, creative, wonderful. I have to watch them all.
I really love it at the end where you talk, very good, thank you.
i think this is the first song that i enjoyed the video more than the actual music
You should see the orchestra version
NOT SO PRO GAMING For me, it's probably Moon Trance, Shatter Me, and Roundtable Rival. I like the music, but the videos are more engaging.
Hace más de 1 año que escuche está obra maestra y desde entonces es mi ringtone de mi cel 🥰
That moment when your computer....
Realizes it's a computer....
O-O
+Laura Moore Also, my face hurts so much right now because this music video makes me smile so much! I have no clue why!
+Laura Moore
Yea!
It'll happen soon enough, just give 50-100 years
ssg2991 Maybe when my computer gets a consciousness, it'll be my friend.
This song has the perfect balance between sad and uplifting. I really love it.
And Lindsey looks so natural and beautiful. Her newer videos are more perfect but also more sterile and less authentic.
Спасибо! Очень красиво.
угууу ;)
If Neo was a violinist....
2:30 Best part, ever!!
It's great to see that Lindsey's creativity doesn't change, only the budget she has to make videos out of it.
Amor eterno a Lindsey Stirling 🎻🇨🇴💜
Wow..awesome music
did I just watch a Sim realize it was living in a computer and break out?
Kinda
James Maher I was thinking the same thing
No One l
Nerdy Cupcake ?
No One sorry I was going to say yup
Creatividad, sencillez... Genialidad!!
Don't be the system. Beat the system.
2:52 ; When you play something difficult and you can not pass the level :v
Alex Guerrero XD
Este video me trae unos recuerdos demasiado bellos que voy a recordar hasta mi proxima vida, porque fui muy feliz. Gracias!!
