I always thought that Jonsey treated mary ellen better than curt treated her. And the fact that he left them just goes to prove that he was not the right man for Mary Ellen.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Absolutely love Jonesy, and did not ever really care for Curtis. It's great they kept Jonesy as well and that he and Mary Ellen married later. Great chemistry between the characters. One of the few shows that managed to really maintain excellent writing & heart for every year it was on. Even when some of the main characters departed the sure. I can't say enough great things about it, especially since this kind of entertainment is missing in today's television
I loved Jonsey been part of the family, I was upset Curtis left Mary Ellen and John Curtis how could he do that! But Jonsey is much better than Curtis, Jonsey is funny in this episode he it funny to watch how Mary Ellen and Jonsey got together!
I always liked Rose, including her voice. I recall this episode from when new. Why was he called Jonesy? Mary Ellen usually treated him like crap. Women docs were rare then, in fact even during the late 1960s it was hard for women to enter medical school. I am surprised Mary Ellen was accepted. How could she even afford it?
They just didn't want to say his full name, Arlington Westcott Jones III, so they just called him Jonesy. About how she was able to afford medical school, I don't know.
I always got Dr. David Spencer and Jonesey confused they look alot alike. BOMBSHELL !😲 a woman comes to the house saying Curt is still alive. It's like HUH? WTF ?😲 I don't blame MaryEllen when she doesn't believe it. Me? They'd be picking me up off the floor !
I love The Waltons, but this (and The Tempest) is one REALLY BAD episode. Scott Hylands' Curt is frankly violent to her. Tom Bower's version of Curt certainly had his flaws, but was never violent to Mary Ellen or anyone else. The idea that Curt would be alive and never get back in touch with her is REALLY ridiculous. As played by Tom Bower, the character of Dr. Curtis Williard was a very competent doctor who had his personality quirks but still had many redeeming traits.
I don't know but I like it when the kids was young
When America was great.
Hollyweird wouldn’t know how to make sweet shows like this today.
I grew up with such a crush on Erin Walton. I saw her on something the other day and thought 40 years later and Erin is still fine.
Me you both bro 😂 I had 3 crushes
Erin, blondie, and princess Diana.
Love the show
Great
Tvshow
lovely memories

I think Mary Ellen kisses Jonesy better than she ever kissed Curt.♥️♥️
I agree,Kurt was a jerk. Jonesy was much better for her. When Kurt walked away the way he did he showed his true colors.
Disliked Curt and thought he was quite freaky. Thankfully Mary-Ellen got a better husband.

I'm assuming the motorcycle flying by isn't going by the Waltons?
Itsme 23 blood stupid motorcycle
Yeah that was weird.
Was this episode being recorded at a motor-cross track or what? It does make the show abit funny to watch. lol.
Hahaha the motor cycle
El finnito, thanks Ben

What car is Jonesy's? Im thinking a Chevy of some type.
"Nothing's impossible!" Yentl stole that line from Jonesy!
What's with the motorcycle sounds in the background
That wasn't Jim Bob on Ike's Bike again zooming on by? LOL!!
Where is the Daddy here?
Ben talking about whirling dervish is something you can't see or hear ,once you've heard it your done.
Jonesy was much more handsome than Curt.
I always got Dr. David Spencer and Jonesey confused they look alot alike.

Yep, Jonesy was a MUCH better character than Curt. Go figure!
Everyone looks frumpy. Why?
If you're going to post the videos do so without the motorcycle flying down the street😊
