Text: Augustus M. Toplady | Tune: CELESTE
A debtor to mercy alone,
Of covenant mercy I sing;
Nor fear, with Thy righteousness on,
My person and offering to bring.
The terrors of law and of God
With me can have nothing to do;
My Saviour’s obedience and blood
Hide all my transgressions from view.
The work which His goodness began,
The arm of His strength will complete;
His promise is Yea and Amen,
And never was forfeited yet.
Things future, nor things that are now,
Nor all things below or above,
Can make Him His purpose forgo,
Or sever my soul from His love.
My name from the palms of His hands
Eternity will not erase;
Impressed on His heart it remains,
In marks of indelible grace.
Yes, I to the end shall endure,
As sure as the earnest is given;
More happy, but not more secure,
The glorified spirits in Heaven. - เพลง
Wonderful lyrics. I love all of the Anglican hymns.
I am never alone for god is with me always..
What a hymn with such a powerful message.
A theological and spiritual saga😂
What a blessing to sing praise to God along with you, though separated in body, united one in Spirit. Thank you for sharing with us
'And trust Him for all that's to come!'
Thank you ever so much for sharing the Metropolitan Tabernacle Congergational Singing.
They sing such wodnerous praises to the Lord with such wonderful doctrinal depth of words and truth - very experential and deep in meaning.
Sola Gratia!
Thank you.
more happy but NOT MORE SECURE......the glorified spirits in heaven......WOW what a thought

Prachtig!
Um devedor somente à misericórdia,
A misericórdia da aliança eu canto;
Não temo, com Tua justiça sobre mim,
Meu eu e minhas ofertas trazer...
wooow ... good stuff
What a hymn.
Please is there any way to access audio hymns
Whoever said, "If the hymn, devotional, book, or sermon is less than 120 - 130 years old, it isn't worth singing, reading or hearing" hit the nail on the head: hymns like this are proof.
I think it's rather depressing to imagine that the Holy Spirit has to wait 120 years to use a work.
Hmmmm shame many of the best hymns and sermons are less than 100 years old, but lets not let facts get in the way of stupid pithy throw away one liners.
"Trewen"! :)
Not Trewen
Yes, that's the problem. It's not Trewen!@@peteredwards4620
Where could I get printable copies of this music for our church?
You can get a tune book for the hymns from the metropolitan tabernacle bookshop online. Just do a google search.
I know you’ve written this question 2 years ago, but, in case you haven’t yet been able to get the hymnbook, you can find all of them here: hymns.countedfaithful.org/numberListing.php
