- Visiting my brother in Austin, I had a great opportunity to spend the day spotting all runways as there was a change in winds so arrivals that were from the north, turned to the south and vice versa in the evening. You will see Norweigan Air Shuttle 787, British Airways 747, C-130, and Southwest, Delta, Frontier, American and United flights.
That's one thing I like about Austin is that they have a variety of carriers come in...and not like a mega hub. Please enjoy and subscribe. Thanks for watching!!!

It’s pretty cool seeing a 747 in Austin
I know I got really excited...In the past it was the Dreamliner...but nothing beats the 747...
Sucks though as they went 787->777->747 with interior quality decreasing in that order... I was wondering if it was such a high demand route now?
king4aday I don’t care one bit about interior quality, personally. I’ve been in the 747 since I was 1 and since then it has been the most comfortable aircraft I’ve been on. I love her a lot.
I have seen 1 flying in Austin, but that was when I was a dumb kid, so I was like, wait, the runways are long enough!? But now I know that there is a 12000 foot runway(that someone committed suicide on a month ago)
I'm pretty sure that they replaced the 747 with the 777 on that direct route :(

I saw the Concorde SST land up close and personal at Bergstrom AFB in 1978?
Working on the RF-4Cs all of us guys on the flight line had a front row seat as it landed.
Never forget how big and powerful and beautiful it was. We all gave it a thumbs up!
Saw the SR-71 land there too. Also a 747 with Space Shuttle on top. Boy howdy!
Totally jealous that must have been a special experience. I am looking forward to the future of supersonic aerospace

Its interesting you mention that....Most people dont know that there are two terminals at Austin. I am looking South when filming

Jay Deshpande it was a seasonal thing for summer travel. there are a lot of travelers..it usually picks the 787 or the 777
Pip Hastings I’m flying back to Texas on this flight. I love the 747 with all my heart. She will always be my Queen. I’m sure this will make people of Austin happy. Just looking at her(the 747) brings smiles and tears in our eyes

Where was this filmed in KAUS?
On the east side of the airport the planespotting park. It’s about halfway down the 35R/17L runway. There is a road off the frontage road off of 287 that will lead you there
Where are you spotting from?
Actually this on the east side of the airport if they still have it...its a little spotting area and parking lot. You have to go on the east perimeter road on the east side of the airport property

I generally spot from the vantage point on the far corner of one of the garages, as it provides a full view of whichever runway your spotting on and gives you some view of the airport ops@@piphastings6734
Never saw a C130 in AUS before, you are soooo lucky!
Yifan Ling I was so focused on the Norwegian Air 787 coming in that I didn’t even see the C-130 until another guy pointed it out...thank goodness for that
I think that 747 is ba191 every day that thing goes from aus to London then back over and over
Hockey Dude yea you are right...it did go over and back till the Rona’ hit...it makes me so sad because KLM was supposed to start flying to AUS this past spring
