Flown into Kalamata many times. Like to know where your view point is? To me it appears to be from the military side of the runway. Don't know if anyone remembers but some years ago, British spotters were arrested for spotting from the main road at the southern end of the runway. The Greeks are very sensitive regarding their airports, could be the Turkish thing, I don't know. Go on Google Earth and see their runways are pixelated, even completely non military shared like Corfu. Kalamata even has the aforementioned road past the runway pixelated. Very strange.
