You're not annoying at all! That's a legitimate question. I readily admit the story is closely related to the Holocaust, but I really did mean it when I said it's based off of genocide in general, not just WWII. I actually haven't heard of the Jewish Hitler theory before, so the answer is no, I wasn't going for any parallel there. If anything, the story very closely relates to the movies/comics "V for Vendetta" which is about modern day genocide. Because the holocaust is so well-known, a lot of other genocides in history get overlooked. A lot of people don't even know about the Japanese internment camps we had right here in the United States. I actually refer to a lot of different sources for inspiration for that story, and a lot of the messages I try to send in Prejudice are about discrimination in general. People have criticized it, saying it's wrong because Barry is a white male. What they don't understand is that prejudices aren't just about race or gender. They're about the isolation of a single group of people who are believed to be "different." I wanted to use the fictional world of the Flash with metahumans to show that, leaving other sociopolitical groups out of it. Sorry, I feel like I'm preaching now. I'm sure that's more of a response than you were looking for lol
Actually I share a lot of the same views about equality and discrimination. I love it when people get into the reasons and examples of what we need to fix. I happen to be a homosexual female so a lot of the words I hear are simple "because god says its wrong" but we never really hear more than that. I feel like your story really reflects that by just saying that the metas are dangerous but not really saying why. for example when Barry said that his power was just healing and all the people who don't have powers or have harmless powers. even people who have aggressive powers but no record of violence. There are doctors, policemen, firefighters, at some point it stopped being about metas being dangerous and more about politics and power. even before we knew about price (of course you knew before me). a phrase that I like is that matter cannot be created or destroyed. I feel that it applies to power too. take power from one group and it feeds into another. and the more groups that there are, the less power. So what happens is that some groups are just given less power. And because there are so many groups of beautiful people, some get shoved under the rug. before the holocaust there was probably another huge battle with discrimination that covered up others that came before it. At some point it just stops being about the people and all about the power
