    It always amazed me that the two substances that are some of the most physically and psychologically addictive- nicotine and alcohol- are legal but not weed, psilocybe mushrooms and such.

      oh trust me it had nothing to do about the drugs itself, just mostly about incriminating minorities

      @@DarkworldwolfPersonally, i believe that it wasnt primarily about incriminating minorities (however that certainly could be a factor). But moreso about making money, the tobacco and alchohol industries are so massive, and with the government sponsorships that the industries provide, it wouldnt be economically beneficial to the law makers to cancel them. And by making other durugs illegal, everyone goes to these two substances and thus makes those two industries (and the government they support) richer.

    I remember fondly how my parents got both me and my sister to never smoke. They sent both of us to my room and had us sit on my bed, they left and then returned carrying one of those plastic St. Patty Day hats with a lit cig held above it. They handed it to me and told me to breath in, which I tried but only into my mouth, but they told me with my lungs, and so i did it again and immediately started to cough, hack, and ran out of my room with tears in my eyes as it felt like my throat and lungs were on fire, I ran to the bathroom and started to chug tap water. Hearing from the sink my little sister crying and screaming she'd never touch it, that my parents would have to kill her first. We were young needless to say, but at an age and a location where we were hanging out with very unsavory types of folk who did smoke, and so my parents let us experience first hand what it was we'd be in for if we tried it. I thank them still for that, as it kept me on the straight and narrow, no drugs, no smoking, no questionable groups of friends.

    In English, KOL is COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). My grandfather had it in his later years. He smoked for 60 years and when he found out he was going to be a grandfather he decided he didn't want to be the grandfather that smoked, so he quit, cold turkey. He was a stubborn old man, and not in a bad way. Eventually the 60 years of smoking did catch up to him but I'm glad he managed to quit when he did.

    I quit smoking semi recently, like half a year ago.(i was smoking for 20+ years) And i had no trouble at all, other than the oral fixation. I simply replaced smoking with chewing sugar-free gum. I genuinely believe that people who say that quitting smoking is hard are either drama queens or they are simply making excuses to keep smoking. If you wanna quit, you quit. You don't contemplate or do some elaborate dance. You just quit it and move on.
    E: i feel like i need to add some more context, troughout the entire time i was smoking i was in good health, in past 20 years i've been sick like 7-8 times(most of which was just cold). I never had any cough, my heart rate NEVER accelerated while smoking (that's straight up LIE, smoking can't do that), i look younger than my age, i've always been physically strong with an ok stamina, with no workout regime(once in a while i do some rudimentary pushups and stuff).
    Smoking doesn't cause cancer because it can't. Cancer is caused by damage on your genetic code, your genetic code contains the data on how your body is supposed to grow and function, and if a part of that code gets damaged, or which is more common, fall apart. You start growing things where they are not supposed to. All because your source code is corrupted. Smoking doesn't cause that, being inbred does. Which is the real problem nowadays.

      You are a strong responder to bad effects of smoking I think. How much you smoked anyway? Once a day, twice, thrice, four times or more than that. Your body can handle a little smoking pretty easily.
      Smoking causing cancer isn't a hoax, it's a truth. Atleast you know how cancer works but there is a problem in what you said. Why old people have more chances of getting cancer? Because there immune system and there ability to copy their genetic code has become weaken. Smoking basically does that for you. On one hand you have injected many cancer causing substances in your body. If that wasn't enough, Smoking also makes your immune system sluggish so it can't kill cancer properly. So creating a environment that increases the chances of getting cancer and decreasing the chance of killing cancer. You are a perfect example of Incomplete knowledge being dangerous than no knowledge.
      Your comment can influence someone to do smoking so try to be factually correct before writing something. I hope you will read this.

      @TheKsenpai 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@balrajpadda7558 i smoked roughly around 30 cigarettes a day.
      Cancer is not caused by a virus, it's caused by your dna cells falling apart, data gets corrupted. Immune system can't do anything about cancer because cancer is your body growing wrong. Immune system deals with external infections, not with issues with dna itself.
      Old people get cancer more because their dna is falling apart. Which is an effect of us being inbred.
      Wanna cure cancer? find a way to purify our dna. Right now most of humanity is a family in a literal sense. We're collecting every chromosome that is out there, corrupting our dna, making each generation more and more inferior.
      Smoking is not healthy, yes. But it's not a murder weapon, that's just a stupid concept. If it would ACTUALLY cause cancer, it would be classified as poison. So please, use your damn brain for a change and understand that it's just PR bullshit.
