I feel like this may be a continuation of the direction of Lego Friends being a little less super cutesy, and I like it! I’m still not on board with the skirt pieces. I can’t get over the way the colours/sparkles/translucence don’t match with their tops all. But I do think they would be a cool surface for custom painting designs? 😉😉

oh I have a GREAT idea. ellie can make her very own custom merida castle. and it will be soooo HUGE and soooo detailed and ellie can also hand paint merida's family and it will be soooo cute.
and I simply ABSOLUTELY love the new merida. she is soooo detailed and her hair and torso is very beautiful and unique I really really really like the new version.

I just remembered we got her palace pet in lego but not her 😆
I always thought my favorite LEGO sets are the Rapunzel sets because she likes to draw like I do, but now I can see that this Merida set is also great 🙂👍💛

Hey Ellie and my daughter is a big fan of your channel and she watches watch their video today and for some reason she realized the function of each one of them!
Firstly I love watching your channel but normally prefer minifigs to the dolls. I used hate the dolls but they’ve grown on me and your Enthusiasm for them is very catching. However this set as soon as I found out about it, I had to have it, more than any other lego set they released this year. I ordered it on the day it was released. I love it. I collect lego pencil pot sets, yeah I know weird but we all have our thing, so I wanted it for that but the best bit turned out to be the Tiana part, hands down the best build. I feel like Sleeping beauty was shoved in to make it more expensive but is the weaker part of this set, I like you think it’s just a play set. I also love dots so the inclusion of this gives me hopes that dots will merge with other lines and I love the tiles for the band. The pencil pot has gone into my lego lair to live with the other pencil pots, the Aurora bit I don’t know what to do with but the Tiana set is in my living room on display giving me joy every time I look at it.
I really like this set, I kind of need it, and I think that maybe the function of aurora's set, is if someone sneaks into your bedroom, and looks for stuff, that will throw them off, because it looks like it's meant to hold something ! I love all your videos! :)
You're right, the builds are fantastic! But I still struggle to understand the skirt coffins. Mr 7 really wants this one, particularly for Tiana's build (soooo expensive though 🙃). It's nice to see mechanical design in Disney Princess sets.

I don't know why but the new dresses seems strange to me, it just feels out of place. But I love the different box, they are so detailed
To me the colors are off and that kinda bothers me about the skirts
