Jaffna mail train has to be started. Travelling through out night hours is an interesting journey. The night mail is much more better than a day time journey. The night mail from Mt. Lavinia to Kankesanthurai, it stops in almost every stations in between. This night mail train starts when the sun sets and finishes its journey the time when the sun is about to rise. What a wonderful journey is this. Train travelling is safe, reliable, comfortable, cheap and convenient. No tiredness, no stress, no struggling and no unhappiness. A long journey from Mt. Lavinia to Kankesanthurai by train is the most comfortable journey in sri Lanka. Travelling from: 1. Mt lavinia to kankesanthurai 2. Mt. Lavinia to Badulla 3 Mt lavinia to Trincomalee 4. Mt. Lavinia to Talai manner 5. Mt. Lavinia to Batticaloa Will make your journey a pleasurable one. Good feelings, good thinking, good thoughts and good intentions can be achieved by train travelling. Train services doesn't make a passenger with tiredness. Train services doesn't make a passenger feel uncomfortable. Train services doesn't make a passenger feel unhappy. Excellent video. Being "single line territory", there would be lot of "crossings'", I guess. Please see if you can add the time of arrival at each station.
Early mornings and evenings are particularly nice in the Sri Lankan dry zone, as experienced opposite ancient constructions of archeological value. Therefore, must have been a fascinating journey.

BTW, these locos were imported from Varanasi (another place of Buddhist history), at a time when nobody saw war's end nor re-opening of this line.
