Rofu was in GBB 21 as well and they were hilarious. The guy on the left is Hiro, the one that collabed with Yamori in that one music video you reacted to.
Their drops went really hard live, and it was entertaining. Maybe its not good enough in a video, but imagine you are in the crowd

You just forget the energy they brings on the set . Now you can't just judges beat box by technicality and big drop etc.... It's not battle yet , but elimination ..so live scene management , crowd control , energy , good beat and also keeping ammunition for the next part of the competition !

Rofu's drops are so sick - Hiro's fundamentals are amazing and Fuga provides so much entertainment. I really wish they would use more time to beatbox and a bit less time to joke around - I don't think they've got that balance perfect in this elim.
I'd put them around Lotus - either 4th of 5th out of the 8 elims. Hard to tell how much their reputation and humor help them get a higher ranking - imagine if an unknown team performed the way they do - probably wouldn't hit too hard.

I think the battle of rofu in 2021 is the answer to your comment.
At the 2021 battle, I think there were few people in the audience who knew about rofu.

One of the judges did rank Rofu in 8th, but 3 of them had them in the top 4
techinque wise it wasn't the best for sure, but they are bringing something anyone is doing right now, a tipe of entertainment we still have not seen. That questions if you really wanted more techincal stuff in their elimination, because for me they didn't need to. when you are so used listening to high level stuff this exibithion stands out more in my opinion, because all the other tag teams are basically aiming for all the same result, some are better than others, but something like rofu it's unique and can't compare with anyone else in the competition. Respect for my man anthony so smart dude, but sometimes it's hard to get everything at the first watch of a video.

It is a weird thing because both members of Rofu are actually incrediblly talented beatboxers. All of the judges know it, but they take so much time trying to be entertaining that they do not showcase it.
But this is who they want to be. Fuga especially grew up on Hikakin who used beatboxing as a form of entertainment and humour as a TH-camr. And it clearly works as they always pass the eliminations, and they won Asia Beatbox doing it.
Without their wit and humour I'm gonna be honest, I don't think they'd match the other participants of GBB as pure beatboxers. I don't think it's a shame that they use showmanship as their weapon as nobody else can match them with that. And the crowd loves it.

I really like Rofu, but how tf do they somehow get away with literally not beatboxing for the whole first minute and goofing around instead, and meanwhile Lotus were critized a lot for having a 5 second break in the middle of their elim to drink water.
I get it, they're funny, and they're good battlers, but in this elim the beatboxing wasn't even that good... Lotus should have passed in my opinion.
