I've had one for about 10 years now and it has been very reliable. It has no back light which would probably greatly reduce the battery life: I don't ride at night
Nice, detailed video. I have done a few videos on my channel on cateye strada. The number one suspect is usually the sensor and the magnet. (The distance between those two) Even the inexpensive battery can last long time. Speaking about my personal experience, I usually need to be within 5-6mm range for the magnet and sensor to work. Than if that fails, I look at the battery. Btw I subbed to follow and support. Lovely channel. Thumbs up Ivan
He left out that it rattles when you ride. And, my favorite part, the directions perfectly suck and it's a bitch to program as a function of that. They were written so you don't have to be able to read to set it up - and it flat doesn't work. It drives me nuts every time there is a time change or i have to change the batteries.
Thanks for the video dude. Does it have backlight? i have the wired model and it doesn't have back light, so i cant see anything while riding at night.
PROBLEM.. hopefully you can help? I purchased the Pedrone for my Cannodale Bad Boy 1... This bike has a thick round front (lefty) fork that is making it difficult to mount the speed sensor.. SUGGESTIONS? Thank you
how to fix my Cateye Digital Wireless with Heart rate. I replace the battery and reset of everything including my heart rate sensor, the problem is the cycle computer itself, when I put MPH to KMH, it will go back to MPH, even the 24HRS to 12HRS, it will go back to 24HRS. I tried different cycle computer but the same sensor and it worked. The problem is the cycle computer.
+Dian Charlo Valentine the ones I use are from MEC, they're called the MEC Galaxy I use both the front and rear. I would 100% recommend them, cheap and good quality!
Doe sit experience interference with LED lights? I've had problems with wireless computers getting interference with my bike light when riding at night. The speedometer goes haywire and starts putting out random numbers. Also, does it have a backlight?
+James Bauer I highly doubt it I've used it with LEDs around never had an issue. Sucks that you had that problem though didn't know that actually happened.
+Julián Martín push the computer down (like when you press the button) and push it forward (away from you). It is kind of hard so you need to use a lot of force.
Awesome review of the cateye double wireless strada cyclocomputer.

Thanks for the review, is the computer waterproof?
+michael stoksik Not sure on that one I wouldn't worry at all about riding in the rain but I also wouldn't throw it in a lake.

Dude - hold your camera still. Otherwise good review, thanks.
May I ask what is the stem mount you are using for the Cateye?
+Tony Tan This is just the one that came with it.
