    Just two notes: The sports sound can be turned off. The center console will open and has integrated cell phone charger.

    Ben, I’m not sure when you recorded this video but I was surprised the car did not have the software update. The PCM looks substantially better with the update and is snap here. I have a 2020 4S and was so pleased that Porsche provided the update all back to these first model year cars.
    I vote for the Taycan, the handling is great, comfort is great as well. I recently did. 5000 mile road trip with it to 3 national parks.
    I have had for nearly 2 years and 43,000 miles.

      Hows the battery degradation after that many miles?

      Try calling another dealer. It’s all allocation based. I have the 2020 Taycan 4S with 42k miles. It’s amazing

      I called 10 dealerships before I found an allocation

    Very difficult to nail down what the actual range is on any of the trim levels. Best guess is the GTS is the sweet spot with estimated max range of 314 miles of range?

    Is is this car more or less quiet than model s on normal driving and highway driving? Thank you

    Hi Ben! How’s the leg room? Would a 6 foot 2’ person be able to stretch out their legs in the drivers seat? Thank you!

    RS Etron GT driver here for the exact reasons you mentioned
    The sound and 2 speed transmission give both cars a visceral and dramatic feel

    I sat in one of these recently and I thought the quality was much better than an EQS, Taycan is better looking too IMO

    Interesting that the 2023 Taycan you are reviewing does not have the uPdated software.

    WAY over priced for a name badge. But its a rich persons car that wants to promote their ego. Porsche catering to the 1%. I would rather produce vehicles and cater to the 99%.

      Porsche has always aspired to build the most exciting driving cars for their customers, because they know that their core base of customers expect that as a minimum. There are many other manufacturers building very competent and affordable EV’s now, but most of those EV’s don’t compete with the Taycan regarding exceptional driving dynamics, rather they are more aligned with basic transportation needs and managing cost. While I agree that most Porsche’s are arguably over-priced, the fact that the extra long waiting list for a new Taycan would tend to lean towards a customer base with deep pockets and a desire to drive an EV with unique driving dynamics aligned with the buyer’s expectations. I personally would be more concerned with the “Shit-Show” that is the non Tesla charging network that Taycan owners will be endlessly frustrated with. Perhaps that is why there are so many used Taycan’s for sale right now.

      @trance9158 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kiwi335d I agree with everything you say except the charging stations... First off they're upgrading what's already in place and adding more continuously. Also the Tesla sites now have to accommodate charging for all cars not just those crappy Tesla things.

    • @trance9158
      @trance9158 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kiwi335d another thing .. most Porsche owners aren't taking cross country drives in their cars so their home chargers should be more than adequate.
