How To Make A Queue In Rec Room | Circuits Tutorial

Today I show you how to make a queue in rec room. in this rec room tutorial I go through the circuits to make a basic like in rec room where the system keeps track of who is the first to push a button, and you push another button to retrieve that player and then remove them from the queue.

The Tag System should work as you are saying, even BVR used this technique for a queue system when he was making a video about doing circuits for his viewers.

So basically i was told that if i am in the room from the start the list of tagged ppl will stay in order, but if i leave and comeback it will get jumbled, or if someone else joins and looks at it their list will be jumbled, but when testing it still seemed to stay ordered

@@theRCLman As it should, the player tag system is in this situation is just a synced player list vibrable

@@theRCLman If you have the tag on you and then leave and come back the tag will be gone. So you would no longer be in the list of players with said tag. If they left and then hit the button again they would just be added to the end of the list. I don't see any reason it would get jumbled.

The only way something would need to be updated on player join n such is if u do manual sync with lists. This should work fine and is probaly the simplest/efficient. Also think a update ensured tags keep order within instances.

What bugs did you find, as i said in the beginning i spent a week syncing the list and making sure it ran through the RA but then in testing the list of ppl with the tag seemed to stay synced so i cut that part out just to simplify

how do i make it so when 5 people get in the queue theres 4 judges and you can do a task and they decide but i want it to take 1 person out of that queue then take there tag away when there done peforming

“Judge” “Performer” i want it if theres 3 or more players in the “Judge” queue it will take 3 players from the queue and put them into a seat and then when someone with the tag “judge” leaves the game a new judge comes in place and when they click the interaction volume “New” it takes the old performer from the stage removes the tag and brings someone else and there has to be 4 players or more in the “Performer” queue.

Hey man just to let you know this system won’t actually work! This is because each different play sees a different variation to the Player Get All With Tag List BUTTTT recroom actually added a chip to fix this! It thinks it’s called (new) Player get all with tag this makes it so all players see the same List in the same order!

I had a whole system worked out with sending the player to toom authority and making a synced list, but i figured most ppl who would be accessing the list would be there from the start, but if enough ppl request or have issues ill make the other one but hopefully it worka for most ppl

Agter filming the complicated ayatem i went back and checked with a few players and an account that joined after the list still seemed to be in order, but then again it was only 4 players in the list so its possible that the jumbled list juat happened to be the same order as the original

you could use a remove at position chip, i think thats what its called

The simplest way is to hook a to string to the get all players with tag and hook that up to a text, i wont necessary be formatted but you can at least see the list

Yoda did, i was doing it with players but then he showed my tags but then for him the lists of ppl with tags weren't synced or werent correct, so then we had a whole system sending the player to a list on the RA system but when i went and trated it seemed fine across syatems 🤷‍♂️
