  • Reims, 80 miles northeast of Paris, is famous for its Gothic architecture and as the location of the coronation of most French monarchs. It is also famous for its Champagne "houses."
Reims is pronounced "Rance," unknown to the narrator of this video at the time.
The video begins with a view outside and then inside the Basilique St. Remi. Then we tour the underground caves of a Champagne house where champagne is/was stored, corked, turned and managed. Next we dine at the L'Apostrophe restaurant. The following morning we eat breakfast at La Briocherie de l'Espace and view the mall where it is housed and the surrounding streets. The final 100 seconds shows the inside and outside of the Best Western Hotel de la Paix.
    Video taken in September 2007.
    7:21 minutes long.
