League is actually about min-max everything. If you are min-max resource better than enemy, you'll have advantage in the fight and sometime those advantage can be so big that you can win even when you're not good at fighting

Ya I mean the best example is min maxing your first full clear speed. Beating enemy jg to first crab can be big and all it takes is a few seconds faster clear sometimes.

@@KimiRaikkonen123 the best mindset for ganking is 1. gank when convenient or 2. gank when the player is your win condition. If I have a pro player in my top or mid lane, that's a win condition I can sacrifice my jungle econ for.

I don't really understand the whole "Im not going to q+e camps for faster clear because i don't care enough to min max in this kind of game." Like its a ranked game lol. Thats the whole point of the game. To min max, play smart, and eventually get enough advantages to win the match.

Not true at all. The point of ranked is to have a competitive experience. To be matched against players of similar skill. The goal of ranked isn't inherently to learn, study, min max, improve and climb. Ranked for many league players, especially low elo, is just a way to have a more competitive experience than Normals. Normals do have an MMR to them but it's not even comparable to Ranked at all. You can be silver or gold MMR and get matched vs people who are anywhere between bronze to diamond. Normals doesn't really try to make a competitive matchmaking experience. It just tries to generically slot 10 people into a game with somewhat similar TEAM MMR rather than 10 players all within a few divisions of each other at most. For ex: in Norms you could be silver playing vs a diamond top laner but in Ranked you would be vs a gold player or low plat a worst depending on how many games you are winning if you haven't played that split.
@@YuYuYuna_ then you shouldn’t play ranked. If you want to have a competitive experience then it makes no sense to say that you don’t want to improve or put any energy into the game. It’s not even a big thing to become accustomed to, especially for someone who started in WoW. It’s like an extra one or two buttons that you have to think about instead of just mindlessly slap the keyboard. You can have a sense of competitive spirit just playing normal games too, so why not just play normals if he just wants to experience the game and not care about grinding ranked? The thought process soda exhibits just makes zero sense

Queues ranked to not care
Which is entirely fine if they don't enjoy that aspect of grinding and learning and min maxing in league. Personally I love that aspect of league but there does exist a large portion of league players that just play ranked for a slightly more competitive experience and don't actually have any interest or desire to learn what it takes to get to silver and then to gold and then to plat and so on all the way up to challenger or even diamond. It depends on what your goal is with the game and it's perfectly fine to enjoy the game the way you want as long as you have fun.
@@YuYuYuna_ well it's not really that fine, we have to understand that ranked queue is for competitive gameplay. Not all silver players are satisfied with their elo and want to grow up as a player and on standings. Maybe a portion of those silver players would use that knowledge to apply it so they can grow up because they are playing ranked. The game has modes for you to chill as a player, when you queue up for ranked you're telling the system that you're going to be locked in for +-30 mins trying to win a game and there will be more people with that mentality than people with chilling mentality or at least should be that way. Now we can argue that it's supposed to be a low knowledge elo and riot is mixing these players with smurfs which is demotivating and I understand it, but if you want to chill why queue ranked either way?
@@miguelribeiro1601 if he doesn't care and just chilling in ranked, he will still average out to a tier that is his and everyone else's level of play in that lobby, even if he's not taking the game seriously, his average performance granted him that rank, so was the case with everyone else. what's the problem here? him chilling won't stop anyone from improving and don't tell me if a silver player was just chilling or sweating blood it would make a huge difference in someone else's improvement.
@@robertenbre8188 that could be true if you weren't in lobby with a high variety of people, from people that are genuinely trying to improve and are above silver elo, but keeping getting queued with these guys and cant climb, to smurfs that need to climb fast to stop stomping people in silver and gold elos. You're going miles to defend people chilling in a competitive mode. Chilling and not caring belong in normal modes, you have to have fun competing, if you dont have fun competing Im sorry, ranked isnt your standard chilling place. Lets no screw people because some people wanna chill where they are not supposed to, is it that hard to get? Why do you want to not care in ranking modes so much? I dont understand. But we can blame riot too, because you could argue that those people belong there cause they are chilling, but maybe they are supposed to be lower elo and not be paired with players that want to win, but thats riots fault in not demoting bad players and taking lots of time to promote an above average player, riot's matchmaking needs a whole revamp and there I can give you a point

Seen it happen to so many. Its nice having a good friendly coach over your shoulder helping you practice the desicion making thats crucial to the game. Why spend a year grinding and working stuff out on your when you can learn the dos and don't from a pro.

This guy acts like he doesn't care 100% of the time, gets one guyed so often and reacts so hard to EVERYTHING, but then says "do you think I really care?". it's the little things.. every second counts and all those little things add up especially in the jungle role. From dodging skill shots, contesting a camp that's on the verge of getting stolen, stealing the objective yourself, catching waves, being there for your team mates! Right place right time. If you can do certain in an efficient manner why not perform it instead of saying that you know but don't really care? if you don't care then you wouldn't tilt. The 'I don't care' mentality is almost like a cover up on an egotistical mind set. Hate to say it but "Min-Maxing" is what this game is.. its an RTS. Not that you can't play casually but you can easily fall behind if you just don't care.

I don't watch soda but wasn't he a WoW player? aren't raids all about Min-Maxing as much as possible to not only prep for the raid but also during it, whatever your class is. That applies to almost every single multiplayer game with a ranked mode or some form of competitiveness. Since he is an actual new player, he deserves some slack but if he wants to avoid getting stuck in silver, its important to get into that mindset, which should be easy for him, he just needs a bit of coaching to find out how to min-max in jungle.
I don't think competitive pvp games are for this person if min-max isn't a thing it wants to do.

Majority of players in this game that receive coaching easily climb, it's just a fact, you got coached in diamond by a challenger player? you can make it to grandmaster now, you are a gold player getting coaching? diamond is not out of reach now. I think sodapoppin from what I'm getting here is he thinks this 'caedrel guy' is a no namer so he disregards everything he's saying, then he uses his ' I am better than everyone, no one tells me how to play" atittude to ignore everything he is saying, if you couldn't be bothered to min max you wouldnt play hundreds of games trying to get to gold.
Ego and addiction does things to people, Sodapoppin was definitely being an ass here and seemed very salty but he didn't ask for the coaching/advice as far I'm aware so it makes sense that he doesn't listen to/appreciates it (again salt & ego)
No hardstuck dia player is getting anywhere close to GM only because they got coached. The main reason people that get coaching climb is because they're committed to improving. If you played the game for a while and have a few working braincells it should not be hard to realise your weaknenses that need to be worked on. Good coaching can smoothen that process, especially for newer players, but it will not magically make you a better player. Improvement in league comes from playing consistently with a good mindset

If its all stuff you already know and you are successfully vod reviewing yourself, theres no reason you shouldnt climb. If you still arent, you gotta be a special case or be doing something wrong. If you are under challenger and not seeing tons of mistakes in your play when you look at your own vods, you dont know as much as you think you do

gold isnt hard to get into especially with Emerald elo into the mix now. My friend who is bronze in every way can climb to gold 4 on OTP yorick top just becuz most ppl dont know how to deal with tat champ.
Important to note he’s playing on NA, so you can get Emerald before even knowing how to path properly.
yeah gold is the new silver and em is gole ever since they added emerald and its NA sooo yeah gold is prob high bronze anywhere that isnt korea.

1) They changed how rank distribution works last summer after split 1 2023 - old silver is now gold, old gold is not plat, old plat is now Emerald 4/3. Every rank below diamond got elo inflated because Riot didn't want people to quit the game.
2) Gold isn't some difficult rank to get. The requirements to get gold is barely anything at all. People in gold farm 5cs/m or lower, they die a shit ton every game, they micro like AI, they position like AI, the list goes on. My first year of playing league in 2017 I started silver and got to gold within a month. I'm not saying people can't feel good about reaching gold, I'm just saying the level of play you need to have to reach it is incredibly forgiving and low.

Sweaty, depressed losers that think the only way to enjoy the game is to min max. Not everyone wants to do that and that is perfectly fine. Good players who want to climb WILL climb regardless of if they have someone like Soda or anyone who doesn't care nearly as much as they do about improving. A good chunk of the playerbase doesn't care to climb and just wants to play ranked for a slightly more competitive experience which is totally fine. Let people enjoy the game the way they want. He's in low elo and anyone down there would carry him even if he is bad if they were actually serious about climbing themselves.
