I appreciated the connections between LWW and The Princess and the Goblin! I would LOVE to see an MP guide on that book.

The feet! Makes me think of scriptures like "how beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news' and 'Thy word is a lamp to my feet...' and others 😊

Very spirited discussion. No extraneous words. Well spoken and passionate. I read the book on a much more light, superficial level. I see so much more clearly now, thank you.

Great conversation! The kids and I just made it through our second read through of the entire series, and with every read, I see something new. My husband recently read it and had this to say, which was extremely convicting and I could not have said any better: ‘I am Edmund. I have loved and lusted for my Turkish delights. I’ve longed for them over my own welfare as well as those around me. Yet I have an inheritance fit for a king. ”The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.“
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭’

Thank you for so well handling the moral, imaginative, scriptural, and literay elements of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I'm looking forward to walking my children through your guide after such a discussion. I'll share this discussion as well.
Secondarily, has Memoria Press considered Michael Ward's thesis in Planet Narnia and The Narnia Code. The thesis is the Chronicles of Narnia series map onto the Medieval cosmological conception of the planets? The thesis rather well enhances the literay and imaginative reading of the Chronicles, though not the moral or scriptural connections.

In reference to Tanya's question at 39:00, I would consider Jesus statements about those who follow Him being His mother and brothers above His actual mother and brothers calling on Him. Christ prioritizes His ministry and His call on us, at times, above kin and clan, tree and tribe. He had fulfilled His natural duty to care for His mother into the maturity of His siblings and now even His mother cannot slow the path that the Father laid for Jesus to walk. Lucy has been entrusted with divine healing, had her brother restored to her three times (the rescue, the joining of the battle by the secondary army, and the healing afterwards), and Aslan responds to her faith and faithfulness miraculously, many times. She however cannot simply deny her position as queen-to-be of Narnia, bearer of divine healing, and epitome of faithfulness, so Aslan sharply corrects even the dearest of the Pevensie children.
