The best renditions of this song are by Debabrata Biswas, Suchitra Mitra, and Mohan Singh. They were all great in their styles. My personal favorite is the one by Suchitra Mitra- bold, clear, with a lot of determination and challenge for the listeners- almost as if Lord Shiva Himself is dictating each and every word. Sounak has a GIFTED VOICE and by his CHARCHA/ CULTURE he had attended a temarkable place in my heart. Only thing I would request him to reach the"CHINTAN/ BHABNA" of the song. RABINDRA SANGEET is something beyond SANGEET. A successful RABINDRA SANGEET shilpi should go deep into the ANTARNIHITA ARTHA of the song.and carry that, to "korner madhya diya antare poshilo".But still I considrt SOUNAK "A PIECE OF REAL DIAMOND" .
