» WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but in the recent years I have been moving and living a lot in different countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to the nature of my work. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
» MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group bagged the "Gold Medal" in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
» WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

I'm shocked the time u mention about qasidah thing. Woww..it shows that you're on different level of listener Nephi. Qasidah is not common in terms of musicality in general. FYI qasidah is skillfully used on recitation of holy scripture especially in Arab world..the way DCT intentionally applied to her music was another level..long live the queen of Asia..much love!

yeah.. both compete with the rating that night.. AJL vs BIGSTAE.. Dato Seri Siti Nurhaliza.. From the continuous all years of Winner/Champion of AJL, being graduated herself from the competition and be the song/vocal judge.. even she's quitely living as singer, but when she appears on screen/stage, who would let go of her show?? She still slay it in every songs/genres..

Balqis (AJL 2000)
Nirmala (AJL 2002)
She performed all of these 3 songs in AJL...
fun fact, Nirmala( the 1st song) and Keliru (the song opening this year's Big Stage) competed in the final in AJL 17 in 2003. Keliru won, but Nirmala remained the more famous song until today. People already forgotten Keliru, until this year when Siti sing back the song at Big Stage opening. as for me though, i think both songs are amazing
I think the song "Keliru" won that year, 2003, was due to the fact that some of the judges were "keliru" (confused?) Hehehe 🤭😜
