You can take my criticism if you like, or just ignore it.
Idol is good because of the hype beat and it has idol fan spirit in the song (where you can hear faintly: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!) That's why the song is good. Your work isn't bad, but lacking. I think if you can integrate, somehow, the original hype beat into the lofi, while still keeping it chill, I think that'd be amazing!

I actually tried to add the chanting part in there and it sounded really out of place haha I even tried whispering "hey" and it sounded so funny so I threw it out.
The idea of keeping the identity of the original song in this specific project was really hard so I couldn't really find a way to do it without spending too much time on it so I understand where you are coming from. I went towards a more darker arrangement in the end instead of something more upbeat cause of the storyline going on in the show but I respect the criticism. Nonetheless, hopefully, please look forward to the EDM remix of this song when it comes out around the beginning of next month!

I can understand wanting to have some of the vocal parts in the song, especially with how well some of his other lofi songs did with integrating it, such as Komi no sei from Bunny Girl Senpai and Styx Helix from Re:Zero (definitely check them out!). With that said, I’m certainly anticipating the EDM remix!

the start of this was so uncomfortable and disgusting. (the show not the song. the song is gr8!) the art is alright at least. idk if I'm gonna care to finish it. my gf was watching the first two eps and I watched some here and there. so if she keeps up with it, ig I'll see it through. fingers crossed it ends up with some kind of redeeming qualities.
