Brian and Claire said goodbye to their doo doo's (their name for their paci). Bittersweet for sure. They've been so good to us for 3 1/2 years. They will definitely be missed!!!
The Balloon proceeded to fly into a power line, triggering the shut down of a nearby substation. The backup generator at the local hospital failed to start causing the death of one man in open heart surgery. A family driving down the road near the Transformer was blinded by the electrical arcing and all four occupants of the car died. Sparks flew onto a house below the Transformer that was hit and thankfully nobody was home, however, one dog and two cats died in the house when it burned to the ground. Little Brian is grown now but to this day he has a fear of abandonment.

I was personally impressed with what a big deal they made out of the whole situation. If there were more families like this one, there’d be less negative, mean people in the world!

I would suggest parents take a look at that site, and talk to their kid's dentists about it. If their kids are not ready to give up their pacifiers yet still, when they get too old for their pacifiers, then hopefully their pacifiers can be replaced with big kid pacifiers. Weaning wouldn't be so hard if they wean their pacifier-loving kids from baby pacifiers to bigger kid pacifiers.

Think about how some kids feel about losing their pacifiers, it would be worth making weaning easier by replacing their baby pacifiers with bigger kid pacifiers, which are pacifiers for kids their age that won't give them bad teeth. If it's guaranteed to not give them bad teeth, why not wean still-pacifier-loving kids from their baby pacifiers to pacifiers for kids their age?
