So inspiring to see a young person doing such good work. With the farmland disappearing and being bbought up by Bill Gates and China, it's wonderful to see someone saving an important part of our culture and future. I'm 76 and hope to be able to buy farmland in the near future and create a place for veterans to work and live through farming the land. Prayers for your future success.
One of the BEST decisions I made turning my tool shed into a cabin home was going with a TANKLESS HOT WATER HEATER. It has saved a ton of space, fits in functionally, and unlike a tank water heater, I NEVER, ever ever ever EV-er, run out of hot water. I live alone, and my electric bill RARELY if ever goes over $100. Hope you consider this peice of advice. Ive been using it for 3 years so far. No issue, just contentment in the shower, lol
Curious about your back story… 5 real estate transactions…at your young age !? How did you get started ? What is your background? Where did you get starter capital ? You are an inspiration… not only for your age group, but for all who are pursuing their dreams,& goals !!!
@@TheOutlawGunnerdoubt it, she probably had a job and saved money. The key is not having kids when you’re broke. People ALWAYS assume I got my money from inheritance but it’s incredibly easy to save large sums of money in your 20s and 30s when you don’t have children.

You’re an amazing woman and I’m extremely impressed on your courage to build and reinvent your life to reflect your fundamental principles. We need more people like you in our community.
My wife would absolutely love the green! (I like it too.) I can't wait to see the finished barn. Speaking from experience, the parking lot & walkway is going to be a nightmare to clear snow from. You'll wind up with gravel all around where you want it.
U have great taste- the shade of green perfectly ties into the natural cedar wood tone to top it off with the entry barn doors & hardware!! Looks so good! It's gracious to see u be so appreciative for the high quality craftsmanship by the amish team im blown away with the finish work especially on how meticulously clean & organized they are!! Prayers to u and your new barn
I live in Virginia, but my husband is from Clifton Park and we travel back home a couple of times a year these days. I’d love to stop in the next time we’re in town!
I’m so happy to watch these videos now! You started while back speaking about this and not knowing what you were going to create. And WOW! My mind is blown. I was just in upstate New York near Jefferson County two months ago and fell in love with that area. I’m binging all of your videos now! 😅
Here's an idea for what you could use this structure for. Maybe have like a dance hall on Friday nights, for folks in the area trying to meet others. Kind of like in Footloose 2.
This is so inspiring! You have such a beautiful spirit...and I LOVE your positivity! It's amazing to see someone who KNOWS what they want and where they are going in life! Thank you for shining and sharing your very bright light. ❤ May God bless you and the Amish team you're working with! I'm sure they are wonderful people, too! 🥰
So exciting to see your progress and learn from you! I am very interested in all the steps you take to turn an idea into a reality - including all the challenges and how you overcome them. You are truly an inspiration!
Lavender is Beautiful plant that's easy to maintain they call it plant that grows in adversity because the soil needs little to no fuss , it does like low moisture I put sand in the soil to create that low moisture environment, it would be nice in a bed around your property , besides makes great teas😊
I have live among Amish all my life. What they still do is what the rest of us used to do. Not that many one ur Crew for i have seen them put up a house 3 times the size of urs in a a few days. That is one they would live in. My Da was a contractor and when ever he could he use native cut. I have done same for my projects on my little farm of about 2000 ac. When I need someone build it is Amish. They know what they re doing. Im way down n Pa boarder
I'm so happy I found your channel!! My goal is to create a permaculture haven hosting artists, through 6-week residencies, and community events similar to you! The missing link is funding... but learning how you were able to do it with a USDA loan has given me so much hope that I too can make it possible
Awesome build the barn is beautiful I think something like that would cost $1 million to build in California Best of the luck with everything and thanks for the tour 🙏
It is a beautifully hand crafted place. HOWEVER, I find such presentations very deficient when *”the big elephant in the room”* is ignored, which is $$$$$! Particularly, when the genesis of your videos relates to putting 25% down to buy your land, which you clearly acknowledged with much lower down payment and options in availability of different grants for lowering your land purchase down payment. So it would be great to know how much did it cost to put together such a beautiful barn in the least amount of time!
WOW I live in Spain and we are waiting since THREE years for our permission to construct a 40m^2 barn. and they haven't even looked at it yet.. they probably never will.. that's how Spain works ^^
Metal roof, thats at least 5000sf timber construction, slab, driveway, not to mention plumbing, electrical, insulation, windows and all the finish work - I’m guessing 600k if there is no contractor involved?
I feel like: giving chocolates to isolated indigenous people on an island is liken to taking pictures of the amish people who consent or are even tempted. Yes the new order ones got liberal enough over generations and now allow certain things but i feel like we who are conscious enough need to kinda protect their original way of life despite their progressive trend that modernization forced them to adapt to (including the hyper capitalisticness u mentioned) to begin with. Yes in the end everyone's free to do whatever with consent but im also free to speak up about it. If the amish people keep progressing, we might eventually lose the last hope of the world down the road (not saying we Will but Might. im just thinking in terms of chances/probability/safety measure). I love your content and you're so thoughtful and incredible and beautiful and on the way to 1M sub lets go!!!
I am in Texas, have a huge family, my wife and I want to farm. Please give me advice. You are doing it and its a dream. I want to manage 100+ acres and get USDA certified for anything we do. Wow so my comment was way late lol! Similar to what was thinking but you did great! Congratulations! Obviously disregard my comment on your first land purchase video.😂😂😂 hugs!
This is great information and I have a lot of RESPECT for people that CLEAN UP after themselves. ⭐✅⭐ I too like a very clean environment to work in and when we finish we make sure that the environment is clean again. Amen 😇😇😇 QUESTION do the Amish communicate with the Amish people here in Florida??? Maybe You can find out that information. I like their pies and their blueberry pies are freaking awesome. They make over 40,000 JUST for blueberry pies for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin pies are great too. You should definitely sell pies in your GREEN HOUSE👍 Thanks Alan 😀🦜🇺🇸

@alexv259
I commented above that my guesstimate for just the barn was $200k. It was probably higher because Amish construction is not cheap.
@alexv259 Man I think I agree with you but it sure be nice if you could edit your post

5:40 is the bottom "step" gonna me covered with the floor? finish floor can't be that high. ... perhaps I ll see it in one of the newer videos.
Absolutely beautiful
May I suggest a concrete walkway around the perimeter of the barn. It will mitigate insect, rodent, water intrusion.
Yes please do a video on the electric, I would assume that if my neighbors had electric then it should be easy peasy too.
