In my experience it is rare to see genuine people so when I come across it, it excites me. I love to see a real one. I am a giver but, I've learned to accept that not everyone will reciprocate the same energy. Wow this energy seems to come up alot. Yeah I believe we just need to be mindful of our energy and only give what is appropriate and what we're able to in the moment. I love to help to whatever extent I'm able to when I can. I feel at some point we build the discernment to know when we are being taken advantage of so its not something to be extra cautious about its just like a vibe you can trust yourself to pick up on, but of course it's a process and takes time to get there.
