- "Levels" (stylized as "Le7els") is a song by Swedish house producer and DJ Avicii. It was released on October 28, 2011. The song was written by Avicii and Ash Pournouri, and contains a vocal sample from the 1962 gospel-inspired "Something's Got a Hold on Me" by Etta James, as written by Leroy Kirkland, Pearl Woods and James. "Levels" peaked at number one in Sweden and Scotland, and became a top ten hit in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom.[2]
The song is the base for Flo Rida's hit "Good Feeling" which was a worldwide hit in late 2011
I still remember the first summer after "Levels" went out, it was played everywhere, night club, cars, radios, coffee places. Every time I heard it, there was some feeling of joy inside me, true hapiness..good old days

Few artists will ever be able to achieve what Bergling did in 2011. A song can only become virtually synonymous with an entire movement in music if it's truly special.

I have awakened 2 so far. With each new one, I seem to float a little bit more off the ground. My hypothesis is that when I unlock all 7, I will obtain the secrets of flight. After I finished Tim's book, I think I listen these tracks way differently than earlier. Something "clicked" in this. Earlier I didn't kinda like the start of original verision of Levels because "nothing happened", but now even the start is a masterpiece. Now I/ We know much what was going on and still Avicii pushed these kind of masterpieces to the world. I even started dreaming about buying dj stuff and still I would wanna buy it. Maybe someday.

I've been trying to get my friends into Tim's music. And we're all in early-mid 20s so ofc we all know Aviciis songs but they're just not into it. And I've tried to show them a lot of his songs like EDOM and Dear Boy and so on but they're also like "nothings happening this is so boring" they just don't feel that same emotional connection we do.

I remember hearing this song all the time in old TH-cam videos, especially water slide videos, fun amusement park videos, and many fun amazing videos I used to watch when I was 5. I remember hearing this song all the time on the radio too and being happy, I heard this everywhere and it filled my childhood. I remember the night Avicii died, and I never expected that to happen. I had a marathon of his music, all of it, I miss him so much, this song (And wake me up) were always in my top 10 songs of all time. This man fueled part of my childhood, now going to be 18 soon. I am happy to say, I grew up to his music. I miss Avicii.
