Lovely tutorial. With the percentage sign the way I like to do it is to include it in the expresssion as string i.e. I add: + "%" after the Math.round expresion.
So I dont need to manually keyframe the position of the percentage sign
all the time I think that he just can align text right, but your way is better

Excellent tutorial... just one question. If you wanted to get the value for the other sections of the pie individually, how do you go about that expression in this case?? I know it would involve subtracting the % completion value for the layer that's atop.

6:06 Why didn't you just aligned the number to the right? Takes the hassle out of repositioning the numbers.
A better solution for everyone is to use this expression:
beginCount = 0;
stopCount = 100;
beginTime = 0; // start counting at time = 0
countDur = 3; // count for 5 seconds
"" + Math.round(linear(time,beginTime,beginTime + countDur,beginCount,stopCount)) + "%"
then align the text to center of the comp & text to be center-justified.
I don't get it :( I copypaste the expression and it throws error. What am I doing wrong? I use the expression "Math.round(value)" and I would like to add % to the number but when y add "+ "%"" it says its wrong. I need help pls

I am having this problem. CTRL+ALT+HOME doesn't seem to do anything. When I paste the 'path' of the line into the 'position' of the point, the point path starts at the end of the line path so its off-centre. Pls help!!!!

I know it's been a year since you commented, but I feel the same way. You can hit the settings gear and change the playback speed to 0.5, then mute the audio. Works for me!

I always encounter problems on that point. Sometimes it follows the path but is not aligned with line. Sometimes whenever I follow the path and position, and then ctrl+v the point disappears. What did I do wrong?
I have the exact same problem. Its like the path for the circle is in a different position and I can not move it.
I just found the solution that worked for me: You have to make sure that the anchor point of the circle is in the center of the circle. Now the circle is moving exactlz on the path of the line :) I hope this helps you as well!

A girl commented above that the problem could be the point anchor point. Just centralize it. I did it and it worked for me.

I had this same issue. After pasting the path to the Point layer's Position, I fixed the issue by manually relocating the anchor point of the point layer to the origin of the pasted path
