Completely agree there are other things that could be done with the towels etc but nothing local to us and we don't drive so it's a struggle for us to get it donated. I got arrested for going through a bin can you tell me how you do it and what to say to police cause they told me is theft and first time I ever be encountered by police I been doing this for 1 year first time ever any advice
Hey, Thank you for your comment. So the police officer that arrested you gave you completely wrong information. It is not theft! Theft is defined as depriving someone of something on a permanent basis, taking discarded rubbish is NOT theft. We would explain what you are doing and why and always make sure not to leave any mess. It is not illegal there are grey areas but you should not be arrested for theft. People choose to throw items away so they do not want the items anymore so you cannot deprive them of those items therefore it doesn't come under theft or theft by finding, unless you found huge amounts of money and didn't do what is reasonable to hand it to a police station or a wallet with money etc inside and you don't try to find the owner and give it back or hand it in. These are the few examples that are theft by finding but general waste so electronic items, jewellery, clothing, toys, breakables, food etc this is not theft or theft by finding and a solicitor would advise you of this. Hopefully you will continue dumpster diving because you are helping the planet from stopping items that are still good from going to landfill. And hopefully this explanation helps you out. Well the answer to that is, sometimes you won't see us take everything on video and infact some of those things we do take! Also the toys we go through at home and whatever is good we donate to charity, and sometimes we don't take everything, 1 because we walk everywhere or only have bicycles so it's heavy to carry and we don't have huge storage and 2 because there are other dumpster divers that go to the bins we visit and they will then also have things to take. We do good things with what we do find and help a lot of people, maybe watch some of our other videos before just assuming. Thank you for watching 🙂
