Fantastic bike my friend. I have one that I am finishing up. I had an 18 month vacation when an F350 ran me over on my 1957 Panhead and left me for dead. I had to learn how to walk and still have a few blood clots to dissolve. Painful experience but I can't wait to finish my XS650. I am in Pa where are you from?

"let's take a bike that was engineered with two carbs, and reduce it by half". One carb will starve this bike. Dumb.
You have no idea about what you're talking about. I build these bikes all the time with a 2-1 intake and never have any issues.
