Everytime I watch this video, it gives me the chills! NBA not going to be the same without Kobe. I'm just blessed to witness and grow up watching his games
I remember watching this game live at staples with my dad (I was in the 4th grade at the time). All I can remember that this was the loudest I’ve ever heard staples center when Kobe hit both the game tying and game winning shot. I’ve been to ton of laker games out of all of the years I’ve been watching lakers basketball, this one was the best one I went to without a doubt.
I went into Target the other day to get groceries and essentials for the house and I went into the book section out of curiosity. I saw Kobe’s book in the section and it was 30% off retail. When I went to the checkout and scanned the book, the new price was $24. I don’t know why but I shed a tear and some stranger saw and put their hand on my back. Kobe really was something special, connecting complete strangers together for a moment
Coming back here as this is one of my favourite memories as a young kid watching basketball. Basketball has never been the same since he retired and now that he has passed away... Rest easy you and your princess who was taken from this world to soon.
Kobe really had some trouble against Phoenix in the mid-2000s. Good he finally got them in 2010, I guess. I've watched his game-winner countless times, but never knew he had ONLY 24 points. Great video upload. Keep up the great work.
@@KingfAce-qb9xk I guess, you forgot that Kobe was going to leave the team because of some crappy teammates I mean he cries but atleast he shares the ball which got him further than Kobe with crappy teams
Wow, RIP KOBE, symbolic 24 pts and 8 asts, this really hurts to watch, also that quote "They chanting Kwame Brown name, nobody even thought about that" so savage, RIP KOBE and GIGI, we will never miss u 🙏😭💛💜❤️💔
Rip Mamba, Im soo happy i was able to witness and grow up able to watch you. Im a Lebron fan so you know the middle school debates you would have. No more comparing, Appreciating Goats for their talents. Rip kobe,Gigi & everyone on board. True tragedy, Thank you for endless memories❤️🐍
This is what made KOBE GREAT!!! He didn’t care if he was missing or if he had foul trouble when the game was on the line this man didn’t have any fear and I remember when he made this shot as a kid I was thinking it’s going in just because you knew Kobe’s confidence and just by watching you knew he would make this shot which actually is a tough shot clock going down he’s pretty much gotta rush to get it off and he made it look beautiful man this guy was so fun to watch 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

In Kobes prime he was relying on guys like smush parker Lamar odom and luke Walton. Lebron was relying on Dwayne wade Chris bosh and Ray Allen. 4 all stars to 1
They should have won game 6 but Kwame couldn't get the fucking rebound in the end and he fell for the pump fake and Tim Thomas hit a three ughhh it hurts to this day that was our series an Kobe would have gotten MVP if they won that game
I still believe the conspiracy theories I heard as a kid, they told Kobe to bow down to the white international MVP so they could globalize the game and break the tall black man synonym with basketball. And the Kobe didn't get his MVP's because of marketing and them not wanting a sexual assault accusations to be the face of the league since its a business.
I'm a Laker freak....I've been following the Lakers all my life...this game winner by Kobe and the buzzer beater by Robert Horry in Game 4 of the WCF against the Sacramento Kings in 2002 rank as the best in buzzer beaters.
so many things had to go right for LA to win this game! it was so crazy & i remember watching this live in High School. The bucket kobe scored when it was 98-95 was so sick too. defense had him smothered but he wasnt gonna be denied
This comeback was better than Heat-Spurs Gm 6. I Don't know why this comeback doesn't get as much credit as it should. The Heat had 28 seconds and the Lakers had 10 seconds to come back from 5 points.
This series taught Kobe he can actually trust his teammates, even tho they eventually lost. he unlocked something which took him to 3 straight finals winning 2 of them 🙏
@@djish5567 I did not include Adam Morrison!!! I only said Deavan George!! Oh, FYI, Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, and Lamar Odom are the only players Kobe Bryant trusted that year and 2007 along with Jordan Farmar and maybe Chris Mihm and maybe Mo Evans. I don't know. Just some notes to remind you of to let it sink in.
Tim freaking Thomas of all people played the series of his lifetime and Suns won 3 in a row to win the series. We were just this close to having a hallway series between the Lakers and the Clippers. Kobe Bryant at the height of his powers lost in the first round and it was a loss for all basketball fans. That 2006 season from him was just something else, I've never seen anything like that and I've seen Westbrook average a triple double and Warriors win 73 games.
that lined up perfectly for the lakers, no call on jones at the end of regulation , no call for nash at the end of OT, some good old homecourt laker officiating
I still can’t believe this shit watching his highlights is really putting me in my feelings right now
Yep. Man, this is tough. 😭😭😭
REST IN PEACE LEGEND. Today was too sad but im here to see again my fav Gamer Winner ever. We all already miss u

I was there, G
@@stevegutierrez7891what a blessing to witness this in person
The circumstances surrounding this game is legendary.
kobe was mvp in my opinion just like how jokic is mvp in 2023
@@jukenipples3004Jokic was definitely mvp only cause that title
Kobe did the classic Jordan game-winning-shot pose. AWESOME!
that's when the torched was officially passed down, and the NBA realized okay, Kobe's the man now...
spoketybacon that would of been but Lakers still lost in game 7. They blew a 3-1 lead
spoketybacon and then they lost being up 3-1 and the NBA requested the torch back
Uh, everthing he took was from Jordon Genius
Uh, he's a copycat
Keep in mind that Gigi was literally born the day after this game.
RIP Kobe and Gigi
Oh my gosh wow ok then cuz she was born in May tho fo realz still.😮
This just hurts to watch.
He exuded greatness off the court just as much ... and now it’s all gone. 😞 💔

Dat was because Kobe had early foul trouble. He got 3 fouls at the beginning of the 2nd qtr, barely played the 1st half.
TreyBall8 He was passing the rock. Kobe the scorer averaged over 40 against the same team in the regular season.

basketball is so exciting. where .4 seconds can be a game changer
I know I used to love soccer as a kid but this was the year (06) that changed it all. Even tho I did like basketball ever since j was like 5.
Samuel Gonzalez Same here, I just couldn't watch a 2 hour game that ends at 0 - 0 and might still be 0 - 0 after penalty kicks
