my experience with oj/nhs wheels has been mixed but generally adequate. i have some oj2s from the '80s and bullet wheels from the '90s and i like them both, both 97 duro. i have some newer oj 101s, i like the shape and ride well enough but they seem to chunk out on the edge like bones stf and cone out quicker than i'd expect
I skate a lot of rough ground so these wheels are not the one. I have heard they are great for a skate park though! I ended up getting dragon wheels over a year ago and I’m still skating them
I had exact same wheels and used them at my local transition skate park. Which has a fee rough spots and exact same thing happened. A few power slides later and they were like skating square blocks. Good luck with the recovery, would like to see you get that lip slide when you're back on your board.
Yeah brutha, sorry to hear about your injury. I have the same exact wheels and there is no way I'm riding them on crunchy ground... My feet cannot handle the vibration from the wheels. They are 25 u.s. dollars / the OJ nomads are a good wheel. Comes in 95a - 35-40 us dollar... Wheels are soft enough for crunchy crete and hard enough to to slide with a little extra push... U got to try the new Powell Peralta Dragons.. u will for sure love them if you don't have them already... Everyone seems to be jumping on these wheels... Although it's not exactly a cruiser but these things will for sure slide on the gnarliest of pavement... Keep rippin Brutha and hope you are back on your board.. your slappy footy is sick!!!
My son flatspotted these wheels literally the first frontside 180 he attempted on the first day he owned them. Makes me nervous to try any of the other OJ wheels.
@@TheHypotheticalSkater dragons are great! a little too bouncy and grippy fie my liking though I am skating the spitfire soft sliders right now - testing them out. some things I like a lot others not as much - but I think the x97 or nano cubics are my favorite for skating curbs overall
I got a set of these wheels 😢, although to be fair I don't skate them very often as I use my spitfires pretty much all the time. I'll let you know when I give my OJ's a solid sesh how they get on. Nice video by the way and hope you heal up soon 👊.
@@TheHypotheticalSkater Yes I currently ride nanos on dragon formula, they are heavy but they do protect the axles and I do roll up curves and stuff easier, also I was able to do some free style tricks on rail stands because the wheels stick closer to the edge, i have those Oj wheels from this video and within 40 min had flat spots , slow me down , chunks feel off lol they are trash for park and all, the only oj I've tried other that the one in the vid are the oj swamp wheels and i do like them but they are kinda special wheel, any way dragons, nano , I think spitfire classic sliders work well too
@@TheHypotheticalSkater I gave them a second change and they fail miserably 😂😂😂, how ever I bought the OJ swamp wheels, which are 47 mm and 99a, they feel faster and harder than those junks 😂 in assuming someone messed up the formula
That's a bit disappointing to hear mate, I've personally never skated OJs myself I just bought whatever the shop had in stock tbh lol. I've been skating bones 100s for well over a year now and can't praise them enough, although I definitely don't skate as hard as you 😂 BTW that boardslide 5050 combo was lovely mate! 🔥
As I said to you when it happened, sternums are deisgned to pop so they don't crack but it does hurt like hell and is pretty scary. Yeah, it's always a stupid thing, like slipping out from a baby ollie and wrecking your shoulder so you're out for over a year and requiring surgery, like me. Get back on the Bones 101's mate.
Good shout on the wheels dude, weird coz those big spongey ojs were really good I thought when I tried them! Hope the healings going well! ❤️
I always use soft wheels, but I also like it when my mom cuts my spaghetti.
you should have spelled it psgetti for better effect

@@TheHypotheticalSkater try em ! they come in 93 and 97 depending on how soft you like em and tons of sizes
its a 101a, all 101a wheels chunk on rough ground
Thanks, yeah I finally realised that!!! I got the Dragons 🐉
Facts! I have these wheels, my friend gave them to me and said they weren't for him. Other people say that pro ojs are good, but these wheels aren't.

After one session!🤯 Sick curb skating sir!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
sounds like you need some dragons homeboy. i bought some 58mm dragons and the only wheels im going to buy is more dragons
Yep I got them dragons! Got them about 8 months ago and I love em😻
I sent mine to warranty department
And they determined they are defective 😅, so I'll get other ones but not those because they don't make those anymore
Nice one! Obviously they are defective, glad you sent them back and got that clarification!
OJ dual duro reapers, best OJ’s made
I’ll try em!
Just buy bones they don't flatspot.
Yeah I’ve learnt a bit since this vid. I ended up getting the dragon wheels, they are perfect for what I do 😀
Save money, get dragons or nano cubic

fake wheels ????
