Same here, got me interested in classics again. Really makes the anime more interesting and the deep philosophical meanings in makishimas actions and thought with reference is so refreshing. I would watch it again for that perspective, think there is some benefit to this

The scene of Makishima and kogami reading while looking across the street at eachother? I have seen the series twice all the way through, was this a deleted scene? I have never seen this scene until now.
it's becouse black gave up: black king takes the rock, white rock in e8 with check, king has to go back, white queen takes bishop and there's no good move for black, so check mate in 2 or 3 moves.
