I would love to be transported back in time, to see one of these early concerts. The band wrote songs that dealt with the feelings that many of us experience. I'll always love the music this group created.
Mike Bruce still plays Second Coming at his own shows. He knows how important that song is. Without a doubt, this was the best concert you could go to in this year, nothing like it. A band at a powerful peak...
This 1971 performance of Alice's Dwight Fry is in my humble opinion the most gritty, brutal and surrealist version ever, 50 years later Alice Cooper still kicks the hippies arses.fucking legend
Asbury Park, July 4th, 1971. I would have given my eye teeth to have seen this concert. Alice in his rough underground early days is my favourite era, you never knew what to expect from him, always an entertainer.
This whole concert is also uploaded in black and white. It’s too bad it wasn’t recorded VISUALLY in a better format back then. Asbury Park July 4, 1971 is the ONLY FULL concert footage of the 1971 “Love it to Death” tour that I can find. To have a QUALITY recording of this out there would have been so awesome to preserve this weird time of the AC group. Now it’s too late, such a shame. Your colorized version is nice. The audio is really good too. THX
What? He stopped performing this? Absolutely tragic if so. I still see these 2 songs as one. I find it hard to believe he would disown this masterpiece. As far as Rock and roll songs go, this is as close as it gets.

@@bluecollar825 I just saw him yesterday and he played it. I do wish he'd add Second Coming back to the setlist though.
This is definetly my falourite AC era! Such a sexy, scary, menacing feeling on this band!! I never notice Alice's had long nails at that time.
Excellent ❤
This is magnificent!
Fantastic, thanks for uploading this!
