      @@HeatingGeek went well I slackened the return and turned it, made accessing the pump easier also connected the u shaped pipe to pump first and then to the storage tank, awkward job no doubt about it but your vid defo helped, also done the dip tube, it was corroded and split, might as well do it as was drained down. saw that off one of the other vids you did, what your vids do is give confidence to do the job always better when someone shows you the way again many thanks 👍👍

    Had exactly the same boiler today. Heating fine but no not water. Would the shunt pump not working cause no not water even if the hit water storage part of the boiler was switched off ??
    Brilliant video by the way. You certainly have patience.

    • @HeatingGeek

      Not always. Its a weird system so can work sometimes not others.

    Hi mate, i went to look at this boiler in a customers house tonight after they rang to say they had just a trickle on the hot water on every outlet. At first i was thinking a blocked secondary heat exchanger but this was until i found that these boilers have a storage tank for hot water. I'm going back tomorrow so what do you think causes this apart from a blockage ? I'm second guessing now after seeing that they have a lot of problems with air locks, could that be a cause ?

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't reply. The dip tube is probably the problem. I have a video on them too. :-)

    Hi mate yeah same here but apparently I did speak to technical help and the Itza a display so if it’s not you know how to diagnose the PCB is the low voltage side of the boat that could be a faulty and has a different sort of the checks for that and I’m sure you’re very familiar with that better if not the boat is the display that’s what the technical help I saying just a thought let you know

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The test for the low voltage is on my boiler videos when the fan fails. I test 7,8, and 9 for 22-24 volts.

    If the tank takes more than ten mins to heat up and throws an F81/F91 code. What could be the issue?

    Really informative video. Do you tend to keep all the manufacturer specific different size o rings on the van, or would you recommend keeping a universal selection kit of some sort? Im always slightly wary of taking a joint apart unless i know i have the correct manufacturers o ring to replace it with.
    Thanks

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I Have loads of 'o' rings on the van. I order them when ever I can. Im not worried about taking any joint apart because of this, although I used to be. Good question!! Sorry I didn't see this before

    • @robertsmith9836
      @robertsmith9836 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The groove in the copper pipe that connects to the shunt pump seems too wide for the manufacturers o ring had to use two get it to seal

  • @HeatingGeek
