When I was a little kid in the '50s and '60s it seemed that 1/2 the hunters in my rural county had an old Jeep. Many from Korean War and still a lot of WW2 era Willys. My cousins and I had fun driving their old Jeep around the farm. Be careful because the little devils will roll over pretty easy! Great memories...
The Autobiography of a Jeep (1943) Production Co.: U.S. Office of War Information. Producer/Director: Irving Lerner. Writer: Joseph Krumgold. Photographer: Roger Barlow. Editor: Gene Fowler Jr. Narrator: Robert Sloan. Transfer Note: Copied from 35mm positive preprint preserved by the National Archives and Records Administration. Running Time: 10 minutes.
Robert Sloan was a very successful voice over actor on documentaries, shorts and cartoons of the 30’s and 40’s. He also acted in films. That’s why you recognize his voice! To me, he’s like the Morgan Freeman of that time!

70 MPH? gotta be kidding
5:25 "70 mph"?? MY ASS! With 5.38 gears, no overdrive, and 50 hp, 55 mph was about the limit.
