IDK but I felt like ventilating my opinions about winona and her new skills. I've enjoyed winona much more now that she got a skiltree. If I'm honest, some of the new additions felt like basic stuff that should always been there that makes winona usable, like moving your catpults, the controller, and the regular generator lasting longer, or the more range of light and the energy saving options. This made me not like her much in the past, and I didn't play her much as I knew that most of her gameplay was just basically exploiting the catpults as single ability as much as possible (most of the time not being worth ir the great recource cost), or as a swap character, basically using moon idol to build stuff and use it as other character. But now I think she´s more fun to play, and the teleporter and new planar strikes are very interesting. I think wanda got a competitor, tough even winona can't bring teammates or have many locations, the teleportation is very cheap and can be used very often. I do still believe winona is a expensive character, as you said in the description you got to pick a TON of rocks, i normally go with at least 16 capults for most of my uses, so it's gonna be multiple stacks of rocks (I like to go to the archives entrance or deserts) and not to mention the grass of the tapes, since the teleporters cost 6 tapes each and the umbrella, so you gotta pick all the grass you see for many days. I do believe is normally worth it as using nighmare fuel is very cheap to upkeep, and now you can move stuff super easily. I like to fill backpacks with the catpults and carry a teleporter with me and a generator, so when I need it I just teleport like 3 backpacks and in a minute it's all set up. I didn't like the shadow affinity much other than using nighmare fuel (wich you can even with moon affinity, so its great) since planar attacks of pure horror don't last shit in the generator, and it runs out so fast, I mean it does make an area that las a very long time but it does not stack and enmies need to move to recieve damage, wich is fine for stuff like spiders, but even them got warriors that make the damage irrelevant, and the rose colored glasses are eh, I mean revivals and inmunity to darkness are only helpful if you are a noob and the wormholes are interesitng but since they spawn wherever they like it's really not better than teleporters since they can be used in caves and in ocean or boats. Also getting fuel from the glasses is also very crappy, the cooldown is quite big and the bridges are kind of eh. I just didn't find the affinity that helpful. The only thing I HATED was the RNG for the advanced cacheboxes. I mean sometimes it's quick and sometimes I play 20 days and still won't get the blueprints, and that can slow you down quite a bit in your runs and it just enfuriates me, and I don't like to rely that much on luck, wich is the reason I don't like the wormhole teleportation. Talking about the pure brilliance planar strikes, combining them with enlightened shard is very powerful so once you do the initial investment you can just spam them if needed, but if I'm honest most of my games don't reach that point as I don't normally play solo of for much time in a single world, so I sometimes skip those skills.
If you were to do this seeded (or if you got lucky) you could have a cave entrance near the lunar grotto. The pathway to the archives has so many rocks!
I think a desert nearby would be even faster than going to caves, since those boulders drop 4-5 rocks instead of 3. Archives entrance would be nice aswell though.
If you are aligned with the shadow its also possible to find pure horror in the early game if you use the rose colored glasses but its totally random so it may not have helped out.
@@danath3386 it actually could significantly speed up full boss rush as a Winona, bcs it is pretty easy to find nightmare werepig, he is always in dirt biome in the middle of the caves.
@@danath3386 I actually have agreed with you. Bcs you can find pillars really fast and you don’t even have to fight werepig itself. + I recently played as Winona with glasses and found pure horror in the theater object.
I take the three mandatory generator-focused ones, then I take the complete greater generator, barrage, complete explosive volley as well and I take the entire path of shadows
