It's so relaxing watching you work on this. It looks remarkably like the actual build. So cool. I can't wait to see you build the mini-ladder lift for the roof sheathing. hahaha
Love the clip of Chad dancing in the rafters!!! 😂 The little model garage is taking on shape and looking very good!!! Looks like a Honey, I shrunk my garage!!! 😂
Your scale must be right on because the fly-around of the big one looks just like the camera shot of the little one. You’re doing remarkable work. Good luck with the new knees! 🥸👍👀👋☕️🍪✅
Good morning, Ken! Hang in there, Brother! The physical therapy exercises and stretches are all worth it and the discomfort is all part of that. You're moving around really well! That discomfort will be a distant memory in no time. You've got this! Prayers for ease and comfort coming your way🙏. Have a great day! God bless.
I’m enjoy watching you build that. I remember when my son tried to build a few things out of the small sticks. His building was OK but he didn’t have trusses and stuff like that on it. But he had lots of fun doing it.
@@kenskarpentry I was going to suggest veneer as a plywood but it's probably more expensive than something like business card stock or tagboard that could be had at a craft store or stationary store.
I half expected to see some sort of spacer brackets to hold the truss alignment during assembly. BTW, my wife is coming up on 4 years since knee replacement and walks everywhere. The soft tissue takes 3-6 months to heal up so so just keep moving, the strength will happen over time.
The model is spot on!! Love the miniature saw!! So thrilled your knee is doing so well, getting stronger. I would have apprehension regarding the second knee too, take care !!
My grandfather built a new barn in 1920 after a barn fire. My mother said he built a miniature model during the cold winter and the construction began in the spring.
Great project Ken. Happy new year to all of you. I hope your second knee operation will go well too. You are a wealth of knowledge and practical experience. Maybe if you would enjoy teaching it would be enjoyable for you. 🌞
Amazing quality as always. I am praying with you. I'm gonna di errands today. First time after surgery ❤❤ Glad you are almost a full R.O.M. wuth your knee. Brings back memories. GOD BLESS YOU AND SANDY. SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 11° "warming up l.o.l.❤❤❤
I’m thinking of two canes for balance but a walker for sure but yeah you’re doing great and you are almost there on 120/125 degrees right now. Check out your ice machine if it’s ready to go. Your work bench is pretty good. Thumbs up 👍
Hello Ken, maybe use a wood burner to cut out the windows and doors. It will weaken the wood and then use a tiny saw. Love your show, from Peacham Vermont
One of the greatest advantages of retirement is setting your own schedule. Enjoy the time to rebuild your strength and prepare for your second knee surgery.
HEY,... KEN Happy 2024 Whoops 2025 WOW, great job On The build Ken It's going to Look Awesome 👍 I Really enjoy When you do Theses Kind of Projects. and I've Always loved all Different types of Models plastic, Wood, anything Really OK Take care and Stay safe on all your Travels 👍✌️🙏 Mark.D Barre,VT 🇺🇸
I love seeing the skeleton of a structure like that! There is a house being built about halfway between me and town, and it's currently all skeleton with no sheathing anywhere. We had a nasty 24-hour ice storm yesterday, followed by 3" of snow, and with the temps dropping from15° today, down to 5° over the rest of the week, it'll be a LONG time before they can get anything else done. 😬 Great work, Ken! 😁
Actually I thought those were cob webs leave them and then put a clear plastic front on so that people can see inside on the fine construction went into this build as they go around the track on the train
Where did you get the kit from looking for a new hobby I just may have found it we were able to take off Dec and Jan before we go back to beating nails thanks in advance
Was this one of the last building you worked on? With Chad. You can say you have reduced your cost building on this one. Looking good. Glad to hear that you are doing well with your knee rehab. Keep up with the good work.
It’s great to see you in good spirits Ken. Your enthusiasm motivates me.
Good to hear. Thanks

Thanks 👍. Somebody requested that. :)
The precision in the layout made a perfect assembly, just like your full scale build was 👌👍💯percent.
Thanks. I was really pleased with how it all came together.
@@kenskarpentry Perfect!
Glad to hear that you're knee is getting better prayers 🙏💯 from north Carolina here my friends

I bet your REALLY missing those days, you guys were a Great Team 🙋
Yes definitely
Wow! Impressive model. Great idea comparing to the actual build.
Thanks! It was fun to see how the real thing compares to the model
It's a super model, Ken, built like you would have built a garage rather than how a modeler would have built it. It's just wonderful.
Thanks I appreciate it

Oh cool. Sounds good
Construction paper makes great "plywood". Ive also used the paper covered foam board for structural insulated panels. Looks good.
Thanks, that’s a great idea!

NICE!! I remember the actual build, because of the overhang... and the boulders on site!!
Thanks! It was a fun build.
